Some of the tips for students starting their first-semester at the Eastern Illinois University are:

• Students who applied for Eastern Illinois University must be humble and should interact with as many people as possible. Mainly beacause, the more people you talk to the better knowledge you get.

It’s not compulsory to take SAT score for international students. For international students seeking admission at Eastern Illinois University, the GPA requirements differ. As international students opt not to submit their SAT/ACT scores they must have a GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.  Alternatively, international students can also choose to submit test scored and they should have a GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 5.0, along with SAT score of 960 or an ACT score of 18 for admissions.

Undergraduate requirements: 

•  If international students opt not to submit their SAT/ACT scores thet must have a GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. However, if they have a GPA between 2.5 and 2.79, their applications will be reviewed individually by the office of admission to determine eligibility. 

• If they choose to submit test scored and theyb should have a GPA od 2.5 on a scale of 5.0, along with SAT score of 960 or ran ACT score of 18 for admissions.

• If the applicant dosn’t have a good GPA or ACT/SAT score then they are required to give a strong LOR and personal statement.

• Lastly the LOR’s should be completed and signed by a teacher, counselor, or school administrator who can address your potential to succeed at EIU.

Graduate requirements:

You will need to provide the following with your application for admission: 

• Applicants must have a list of all their prior colleges or universities, accompanied by unofficial transcripts from each school. However, unofficial transcripts should be uploaded with the applicant's application. 

• A USD 30 application fee for PG applicants

• A standardised test, although the graduate school does not have tests minimum for admission, individual departments may have minimum requirements. However, they need to give IELTS or TOEFL if the applicant is from a non-English speaking native country. However, there are other standardised examinations, such as GRE and GMAT, which are compulsory, however, might vary depending on the course the applicant chooses.

• A passport copy is required.
