History
Edmund Brother and Myron Fisher founded the Winter Hill Business College in 1903. It opened with 13 men and women. In 1910, the name was changed to Fisher Business College. A branch was opened at 2307 Washing Street in Roxbury. Then 1919, branches opened in Cambridge, Central Square, and Waltham. In 1944, Fisher Business College was established as a non-profit corporation and the name was changed to The Fisher School. In 1968, a major alumni giving campaign was launched and USD 30,000 was given or pledged. Then, in 1976, Fisher College opened its branch campuses in Attleboro, Cape Cod, and New Bedford. After many name changes, finally, in 1988, Fisher College name was approved. In 2003, this college celebrated its 100th anniversary. From the year 2020-2022, new courses were introduced such as MS in Criminal Justice, BA in English, CS in Information Technology, BS in Health Sciences, etc.
