On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   What are Grand Valley State University admission requirements?
A:

For Grand Valley State University admission, you require the following things:

  • After completing and submitting the undergraduate admission application form, you must provide an official high school transcript and the necessary documents.
  • After submission, your application will get reviewed based on high school courses completed, cumulative GPA, standardized test scores (if submitted), grade point trend, class rank, and other factors provided by the applicant.
  • Make sure your high school subjects include English (4 years), and Science (3 years) with 2 years of laboratory science. Also, 2 years of a single foreign language, 3 years of social science, and 3 years of college-preparatory mathematics.
Q:   How good is Grand Valley State University?
A:

As per students who went to Grand Valley State University who went to film school. The film school actually let you touch cameras VS most programs who make you study theory and serve graduation students your first 4 years. Also, the student radio station was easy to get involved in and I really loved being a part of that. In the 90s, GVSU had a 2 to 1 girl to boy population ratio. Little did I know that Grand Rapids was pretty conservative at the time, so the ratio didn't really do me much good. I don't think either the ratio or the conservativeness are still true these days though. Grand Rapids seems about 80% cooler now than it was then.

Q:   Is Grand Valley State University accredited?
A:

Yes, Grand State Valley University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission - a regional accreditation agency recognised by the US Department of Education. Besides regional accreditation there are various other accreditations and approvals such as:

  • Council for the Accreditation of Educators Preparation (CAEP)
  • American Bar Association
  • Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
  • Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International)
