The University of Georgia admission process includes the selection of a course, application filing, applying for a visa, paying tuition costs, and many other essential steps. The University of Georgia admission process for international students is given below:
Step 1-Check course eligibility and deadline: Students must explore the official website and go through the eligibility and requirements for their desired programs. The UGA deadline for UG and PG programs varies and must be checked before applying
Step 2-Apply: Undergraduate students can apply via the Common App, and graduates can fill out their application through the course-wise university portal
Step 3- Fulfill Eligibility: Undergraduate students must hold proof of high school completion to fulfill the eligibility. On the other hand, graduates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Both UG and PG applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency.
Step 4- Submit Required Documents: Undergraduate students must submit documents such as academic transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, teacher/ letter of recommendation, secondary school report, and ELP scores. Graduates must submit academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, a letter of recommendation, a CV/resume, and an ELP score.
Step 5- Pay Application Fee: The application fee to apply for the UG program is USD 85 (INR 7K), USD 75 (INR 6.5k) for MS, and USD 100 (INR 8K) for the MBA program.
Step 6- Wait for a response: The University of Georgia usually responds within a month once applied. Students will receive an email for an invitation.
Step 7- Apply for a Visa: International students must apply for a visa once they get confirmation from the university. They need to fulfill visa requirements as per the kind of visa they are applying.
