St Lawerence History
The Saint Lawerence College came into existence thanks to the efforts of Premier William Davis, also known as the "father of the Ontario College System", who pushed for the creation of a technical institution, which trains individuals on applied arts & technology.
A 59-acre area of land, which previously was a farmland under the Ontario Psychiatric Hospital was taken up, as well as lands in Brockville & Cornwall regions to establish the St Lawerence College, as it is known today.
