Industry-focused education with a supportive and diverse campus life.
Tips: Students should be prepared for an industry-focused and academically demanding environment. The transition was smooth with a positive cultural shift to independent learning and multicultural exposure. I am highly satisfied with the university course and studying in Ireland. I received a merit based scholarship offering partial fee support.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The lecturers demonstrate strong subject expertise industry relevance and a practical teaching approach along with their high accessibility and supportive nature. The departments industry focused methodology and internationally diverse faculty provide global perspectives and an inclusive real world learning environment.

A journey of learning and growth.
Tips: A college that shaped my growth, independence and confidence. NCI is fast paced so good time management really helps. The cultural shift was real, but it made me stronger and more independent. I received a 3000 scholarship and I am genuinely happy with the college, course and experience here.

4.1
A welcoming campus and a welcoming city.
Tips: The workload in NCI can be sometimes demanding. Time management is very important especially if you want to work part-time with your studies. The transition was smooth overall to Dublin. You need to get adjusted to the weather and cost of living in Dublin.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at NCI is very active and friendly. They host several events. NCI organizes a variety of events like cultural festivals, career fairs, tech talks and student gatherings. There are several clubs as gaming clubs cultural groups, tech societies which you will be introduced to on your induction day.
Dislikes (Safety): The campus itself feels safe, but Dublin can be unpredictable sometimes, especially late in the evening. On campus, we had student support services that guide you on safety in the city. Some parts of the city are not suggested to travel alone. Stay away from those places and you will be granted.

Good, safe and learning.
Tips: Students should know about the academic workload, campus culture, living costs, and job opportunities. If you apply to the college before 6 months, you will get the scholarship, and here the tuition fee is much less compared to other European countries.

MSc in Business Analytics for Decision Makers - Batch of 2026
4.1
Practical learning and good opportunities.
Tips: NCI has great industry links and career support; time management is important. The transition was smooth, with a slight cultural shift in weather and accent. I got an NCI International Scholarship with a partial fee waiver.
Likes (Safety): NCI and Dublin are generally very safe. The campus has 24/7 security and CCTV, and the city has regular police patrols. My experience has been positive, with no major safety issues, just usual caution needed at night.
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus job opportunities at the National College of Ireland are quite limited and competitive. Most students rely on off-campus jobs in retail, hospitality or customer service, which are easier to find in Dublin. The average pay for part-time jobs is around €12–€15 per hour, depending on the role and experience.

NCI Ireland does not take long to get back to students with an decision. Though the exact time can vary depending on what programme is one applying for, and where a student is applying from. It usually takes the college around 3 to 5 working days to get back to students with an admission decision.

Yes, NCI Ireland does accept students, even with a gap year. Students may however, have to justify their gap year during the admission process. Gap years are not an issue as long as it not a very big one, and students meet the basic admission requirements for the course they're applying to.
