- An applicant should have a (minimum) 4 year Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or its affiliated college in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Accreditation should be by NAAC, AICTE, or the institute should be on the list of Institutes of National Importance. In case of accreditation by AICTE student should include a statement in the application documents from the university confirming the AICTE accreditation
- A CGPA of at least 8.5 on a 1-10 scale. If applicant university does not award a CGPA applicant average mark should be 75%
- Solid foundation in (resulted in credits[1])
• mathematics (at least 20 EC, preferably including linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics, discrete mathematics)
• computer architecture/organization
• programming (especially C language) - And a solid foundation in at least 3 of the following subjects:
• data structures and algorithms
