Erasmus University Rotterdam Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

Undergraduate requirements: 

• Application Fee or fee waiver: Applicants must pay a EUR 100  application fee through the common application or official Application website. However, applicants using these platforms can request a fee waiver. 
• Transcripts:  the applicant should submit the school report and the official transcript, including all secondary school courses. 
• Standardised Test Results:  Erasmus University Rotterdam has a long test-optional policy for the 2024 admission cycle. That means that applicants for UG admissions for2024 enrollment can choose to apply with or without submitting ACT or SAT scores. However, if the applicant dosn't meet the requirement of 75% in 12th grade, then they must take SAT.

• A motivation letter must be written given your opinions about topics.

• Applicants must have a 70% in Mathematics
• Indian studnets in CBSE must have  grades, A1, A2, and B1 for each of the 5 subjects

1. CISCE: Indian School Certificate with a minimum score of 75% for each of the 5 subjects
2. NIOS: Migration Cum Transfer Certificate obtained at the Senior Secondary School Examination with grades A, B or C for each of the 5 exam subjects.
3. State Boards: Standard XII Certificate with a minimum score of 80% for each of the 5 subjects

• English Proficiency tests must be submitted. 

Postgraduate requiremnts:

• A statement of academic purpose (SOP)
• Applicants must have a list of all their prior colleges or universities, accompanied by unofficial transcripts from each school. However, unofficial transcripts should be uploaded with the applicant's application.
•  letters of recommendation, Applicants must enter the names of their recommender directly in the application, and they will receive a link to upload a letter on the applicant's behalf. (optional)
• Applicants must submit their Resumes and CV (Optional)
• A EUR 100 application fee for PG applicants
• A standardized test, although the graduate school does not have tests minimum for admission, individual departments may have minimum requirements. However, they need to give IELTS or TOEFL if the applicant is from a non-English speaking native country. However, there are other standardized examinations, such as GRE and GMAT, which are compulsory, however, might vary depending on the course the applicant chooses.

Erasmus University Rotterdam does require English language proficiency for International applicants with a minimum score. While Erasmus University Rotterdam accepts the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), they also accept other English language proficiency tests. In addition to IELTS, Erasmus accepts other English proficiency tests such as CAE ( Cambridge English exams), and TOFEL. Erasmus University Rotterdam acceptance rate is 53%. The university Admission process involves a thorough evaluation process, Considering academic excellence, essays, Letter of recommendation, SOP, extracurricular activities, etc.

International applicants with an international Diploma applying to the university need not submit GMAT score. Even if the student has taken these tests or similar ones, the university does not consider these scores for admission procedure. However, specific programs like the MBA may still require GMAT scores, but this requiremnt varies across courses and is not for all postgraduate courses.
