Sydney Institute of TAFE Admission Process 2026
International students interested in joining Sydney Institute of TAFE must follow a step-by-step admission process that includes filling out the application form, submitting the required documents, paying the application fee, and more. The Sydney Institute of TAFE admission process for international students is outlined below:
- Choose fields: Students can explore their preferred area of study from a wide range of over 4 UG programs. Some of the popular streams include Engineering, Nursing and Animation.
- Sydney Institute of TAFE does not charge any application fee for either undergraduate or postgraduate programs, allowing Indian students to apply without additional cost barriers.
- Wait for response: Once the application is submitted, students can expect to receive a response—either an offer letter or a rejection—via email within a few weeks.

TAFE is the only path to improve your skills with best available resources.
Tips: Studying at TAFE has been a great experience and you mostly study with the local students and as a result, you learn more about their culture and style of living. I was fine with the environment at TAFE, but it could be challenging for some. As far as I know, TAFE doesn't offer any scholarships generally to international students but TAFE is free for the local students. Overall, I am very really proud to be a part of this institute and course as well, it was a great learning experience with amazing staff.
Likes (Part time work): As per my experience, I haven't seen any opportunities for students on campus, but there are various opportunities while studying nursing, like support workers, aged care workers or assistants in nursing. Managing work with academics can be stressful sometimes but it gets better with time. Lastly, the pay really depends on the role but normally, people make around 500$-800$ a week.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Studying nursing at TAFE was one of my best experiences. There are a lot of job opportunities after the studies, however, it depends on every individual and their capabilities. Nursing is a broad field, there are a lot of different jobs including aged care, hospital settings, medical centres and many more. The base salary starts from 32$ per hour plus penalties, it varies from facility to facility.
