UniSQ Admission History

University of Southern Queensland was established in 1967 as Queensland Institute of Technology by the Darling Downs University establishment association. The university was situated on its main campus at Toowoomba with 140 foundation students. In 1992, the institute was renamed as the University of Southern Queensland.

In the Toowoomba campus in the 1970s, facilities such as lecture halls, academic offices, and basic student services were added. Today, facilities such as Engineering Labs, nursing sim Labs, solar research fields, Mt Kent Observatory, and Boeing flight simulators are available.

University of Southern Queensland requirements for Indian students

The University of Southern Queensland entry requirements for Indian students are slightly different based on the level of study. Undergraduate students must score a minimum of 60% in the best four subjects and belong to recognized boards like CBSE, CISCE, and State Boards. In addition, the study must be equivalent to the Australian Year 12 credentials with recommended subjects including English, Maths, Physics.

Postgraduate applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with 60% minimum score. However, some courses accept 55% or a CGPA of 4.5/10. Some programs, like an MBA, expect two years of relevant work experience.

Along with fulfilling the basic eligibility, international applicants must submit certain mandatory documents such as proof of secondary/bachelor's transcripts, or certificate, CV/resume, LORs, statement of purpose, and interviews.

-TOEFL: 90

-PTE: 58
