Master of Engineering in Engineering Management (Mechanical Engineering) - Batch of 2023
3.9
The college is very reputable and good.
Tips: The weather is the biggest challenge. You will get used to it eventually, but it could be a challenge in the initial days. However, summers are really beautiful and the best thing is that it is sunny mostly the year around. All the Indian festivals are celebrated here.
Likes (Value for money): There are a lot of oil and gas industries around. The market is tough to get a job but with networking, you can land something after your degree. The other universities that I got into were more expensive and the cost of living was way more compared to Edmonton.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Vegetarian options are limited. I used to cook for myself. There are a lot of options around the campus. Everything is within walking distance of like 15 minutes, depending on where you are on campus. There are a lot of Indian restaurants and many coffee places around.

A great place to make your career.
Tips: There is a cultural shift. You will initially feel discomfort and excitement both at the same time. But when you will get assignments and work at the same time, you won't get time to think of that. Scholarships are for thesis based mostly. I applied for them, it's a bit competitive.
Dislikes (Part time work): As you enter, it's difficult to find on campus part time jobs unless you are in thesis based course. So even if part time job is not in your field, just try to grab it. I did my first part time job at a grocery store as a produce clerk. You need to find off campus jobs. It's manageable. You should do proper time management. 15 CAD per hour.

There are few local job opportunities and students needs to relocate after graduation.
Tips: UAlberta has excellent academic, research and work opportunities, and the campus and student life are pretty vibrant too. Diversity is pretty good, with people from all over the world. Moving to Canada was a big transition, but the UAlberta community made it easier. Overall, I loved my experience here.
Likes (Student Life): The University of Alberta has great spots on campus to study, like SUB, HUB, and a lot of libraries, all of which are very safe. There are also a lot of food options available in these places. There are a lot of club options—Indians Students Association, CS clubs, and many others—to keep students engaged.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Edmonton doesn't have a very large tech sector compared to cities like Toronto or Vancouver. This means fewer local job opportunities, and students often need to relocate after graduation for better job prospects. At least in tech fields like core engineering, there are opportunities right here.

My experiences in the University of Alberta was good.
Tips: The university is in Edmonton. Weather goes to -30 degrees in winter. Cannabis is legal here, so you will see many addicts on the street. Many homeless people near the downtown area. So avoid downtown. I am not that satisfied with my degree. I wanted to switch from software development to machine learning developed with this degree but I don't think I can do it.
Likes (Public transportation): Rate 5 due to robust public transportation. Campus seamlessly connected to the city via buses and Metro. The whole city is well connected. Transportation cost is included in the tuition fees. No need to pay extra for transportation. Uber is easily available if you want to go to a remote destination.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Rated 3 on post-study jobs due to limited visa sponsorship. Unsure about specific companies. Generally, job roles vary, but the average salary in Edmonton post-studies is around 50k. I got a job through my professor, got lucky with this one. But do not expect the same thing to happen with every student.

My journey here was amazing and exposure at University of Alberta is great.
Tips: Definitely there is a cultural shift. It is more about individuals here. Moreover, received a fund of around 21000 CAD/year, which covers my course fees, accommodation, and my living accommodation. This fund is part of my scholarship where the course fee is around 11k/year. CAD and for me the accommodation cost is around 580 CAD. I was very much satisfied with my university. One thing more is that I also received a one-time scholarship of 5000 CAD at the beginning of my programme.

They gave me opportunity.
Tips: Canada is foreigner country. So obviously there are many culture difference. But I love the culture here. I applied for scholarship before the starting of the college and they approved my scholarship. I get $10000 scholarship. All the process details available on the university website. I am satisfied with the University of Alberta and Canada.
Likes (Safety): Safety is the first priority of University of Alberta for students. Campus security team available 24/7 to maintain safe and secure campus environment. University of Alberta provide safety and security programme. Security patrol the campus and respond in emergency.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many food option available in Edmonton but the thing is foods are very expensive. Our area have different types of foods like Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican etc. If you are international student and doing part time job then the food is expensive for you. I prefer eating from home and cooking by myself, because it is very cheap.

Life changing college for me.
Tips: I am very shy type boy but after coming to Canada I completely changed and my network is big in Canada. When you leave your home country no one can be with you so you are solely facing all the problems and it is life changing for me. This country culture is different. I am not eligible for applying scholarship because my IELTS band is low. But I enjoyed to live in this country.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is best in university of alberta. Because they gives university of alberta student U-pass and who have U-pass they can unlimited access to light rail and tansit buses. It is more affordable compare to buy daily ticket. So most of the student have U-pass. And it's affordable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Because our area lack of availability of Indian food. In our local area Indian foods are hard to find. Most of the hotel and restaurants are non-vegetarian. But all the foods are available in Edmonton. And eating outside is very costly for international students. So I prefer to cook by myself at home.

University of Alberta offers fantastic teaching quality.
Tips: I didn't experience any cultural shift after coming to Canada because in this country Indian population is good. So it will be easy to cope with them. However, there was some cultural differences in terms of cooking and part time work experience. I didn't apply for any internship cause my rank was too low. University of Alberta is one of the best universities for me and I love Canada.
Likes (Indian Food): All the types of restaurants are available for you, if you want to eat non-veg or veg. Mostly non-veg restaurants are here. If you don't know cooking you can eat tiffin. Indian foods are also available in the area. But if you eat outside in restaurants or hotels it will be expensive. You can cook for yourself at home and it will be cheap. So I prefer cooking and before moving to Canada please learn cooking.
Dislikes (Internships): University of Alberta faculty members are helpful in finding internships and applying. Faculty have good knowledge about field-related internships so if you have any doubts related to the internship you can contact them and they will resolve your problem. If you want to do field related internship you can meet the faculty.

Tips: Yes moving to new country I experienced transition adapting different culture and way of life is different from yihr hime country. Canada have many culture and different countries people coming canada so there are many cultural shift after coming in this country. I applied before coming canada and a got scholarship.
Likes (Part time work): On campus job vacancy is too low and chamces to get on campus part time job is also low because all the students first try is get part time job on campus. Off campus job is quite difficult to get but you apply all places and definitely you got a once place. Part time job is manageable because you have 20 hours to do job and all time you are free then you can study free time so part time job alnog with academics is manageable for me.
Dislikes (Student Life): I spend my time in campus to do many activities and some events. I enjoy in campus because campus environment is totally different and I loved my spent more and more time in campus. Many events organized by university are orientation week, guest lectures and speaker series, arts and culture events, sports and atheletics events and many more. I love the college so much I have learnt so many things and would suggest that you should go there
Tips: This is one of the best college but there is only one problem which is related to Indian food. Except that it is so wonderful and you would get a new experience there you can feel homesick in the beginning but the environment is so friendly that you will feel so good and forget about home after few days.
Likes (Safety): I gave high rating because I feel safe there you can go out on roads any time without any safety concerns. When I get bored of studies I hangout at midnight I never find anything suspicious and always feel so safe there even in campus outside campus localities everywhere.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is lack of Indian food we have to struggle a lot to get Indian food there is trouble to find Indian origin food. A practical, student focused university with strong career exposure.
Tips: Students should be aware that this college places emphasis on independent learning, practical application and self discipline. Academic support and resources are widely available, success depends on the student's initiative. Students should actively seek internships and part time. The opportunity is solid but not strongly guaranteed or structurally embedded in the program. Students can get internships but the outcome heavily depends on individual effort, timing and market conditions rather than university driven placement pipeline.
Likes (Part time work): Part time opportunities are widely available, legally supported and realistically manageable for international students both on and off campus. You will be better off knowing multiple people and building connections.
Tips: Most of the students are Indians. It feels like you went to Kerala to study. Join multiple activities, connect with multiple people. Don't be afraid. Other Indians might judge but that is fine. Not satisfied as much as I want to be. Participate in meetups and network events.
Likes (Safety): Cambridge is safe. No crime. Apart from bicycle theft, there is nothing you need to worry about. I used to go to the gym at 12 AM and return on a bicycle or by walk home at 2 AM. There is no security at all but there is no crime. In my 3 years in the city, I never heard of any crime except for bicycle theft.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are very less number of companies that offer sponsorship currently. The immigration rules have changed drastically. Given that still Cambridge is still home for the NHS which still takes students and sponsors them. Mostly jobs are high for Biology biotech, pharma, and related students. Tips: There was a cultural shift. I took me 2-3 months to get adjusted here. I have got a scholarship of 4000 and got a 1000 discount for early bird payment. I feel it was a good decision of moving on here, the country is nice as well.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking myself but there are many restaurants including Indian, the cost is around 10 per person. Ordering food online is quite costly. Groceries are not that costly if you know how to cook, then food is not expensive here. I live in London, one can experience food from all the world here.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I would definitely love to permanent live in the UK. It has vibrant vibes, work life balance is good. People are good, salaries are good. It’s a great place to grow, study and live.
Tips: For international students, Aru provides visa guidance, cultural integration programs and pre arrival resources to ensure smooth transition to life in the UK. Understanding Aru rules of attendance, grading and student conduct is essential to avoid any academic and disciplinary issues. This is a safe place to live and study, not just for international students but for everyone. The environment for international students is also welcoming and safe. I have good experiences in terms of safety. There’s also a special community for student safety. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): It’s very difficult to get a part-time job without references in the UK. A student friendly university in a student friendly city.
Tips: The city is beautiful and student-friendly, and there are lots of things for international students to do. It usually takes a bit of time to get into the culture of the city and everyone has been very friendly on campus. I also got an international scholarship of 4000 pounds waived off of my tuition fee. The only downside is that living expenses are very high, comparable to London. But the city has a lot to offer, and I would definitely recommend Anglia Ruskin University to other students. I'm completely satisfied with Anglia Ruskin University and my course.
Likes (Student Life): There are many clubs and communities that are organised on the campus based on the country and interests like movies and sports. There will be only 2 to 3 hours of classes each day and the remaining we can spend with our friends on campus and develop our social skills. The course fees are relatively low compared to other universities and student life is nice. The university is located in Cambridge which is a safe and easy place to get around. The student union is there to help you and it will be a completely different experience once you move abroad. It will be really good for your future if you are looking for some international exposure and want to learn about other cultures and other countries. I would say the UK is the best place to start.

Great faculty but very less internship opportunity.
Tips: I'm finding it pretty easy to settle in at this university. There aren't a lot of scholarships available, but in the first year, you have a couple of options. My course of study is pretty good compared to basic courses like MBA and BACS. There are a lot of Indian options everywhere and the food is pretty good. You can find a lot of Indian stores nearby if you need any groceries, and basic supplies are everywhere in convenience stores like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Co-op, and Waitrose. If you are used to cooking, your experience won't be hampered in terms of food. Overall, the experience is quite good.
Dislikes (Internships): The internships are not provided to you, but you can find them yourself with help from the university. The courses are based on the principle that you get what you put into them. Your major focus should be on networking and meeting new people to get new opportunities.

M.Sc in Supply Chain Management - Batch of 2022
Offered by Anglia Ruskin University
3.6
Best for business related courses.
Tips: Dedicated support for all international students. We have friendly staff and they help us in opening the bank account and they provide different options to work while studying. The campus is located in a walkable location from the city centre where various food courts and a good sports bar are available for students to relax in their free time.
Dislikes (Student Life): In the beginning, you're still largely connected to a group of friends but as you proceed you need to focus more on classes. This will improve your understanding of the course and requirements. All cultural activities are organized and students from different nations will be happy to show their presence it will be 2-3 days of an event and everyone is so excited to be a part of the programme.

It's a good college for the people who are passionate for studies.
Tips: Students must be aware of assignment making. Assignment is the only task, apart from exams and practical, which students are supposed to focus on. Don't be afraid of them, just give time to the assignments. That will help you with your further job or start-up.

MSc in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management - Batch of 2024
Offered by Anglia Ruskin University
3.3
Experience the uncertain environment of abroad studies.
Tips: If your previous academics are good, then you'll get a scholarship from Anglia. I was very satisfied with my college, but the country is not that safe for Indians anymore. The university was very welcoming and supportive for the international students as well. Mostly Indians, but still a good one. But there are better options then Anglia, to be honest.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The lecturers are knowledgeable and supportive with an approachable nature. They use practical industry oriented teaching methods and are easily accessible for guidance. The faculty is also diverse, helpful and always brings international perspectives to the classroom.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UK is frequently challenging its immigration regulations, which is making settlement options more challenging. So, if you are coming UK to study, keep your options open for other countries like the Netherlands etc. After completion of your course, you can find work opportunities and better settlement options too.

Supportive and helpful faculty.
Tips: It is a value for money university. Compared to other universities, it is cheaper and it's located in Cambridge, which is the best part. And the faculty members are very kind and helpful. Initially, they helped me to find a job. I mean, it's not that bad choice if you are going for it.

College is safe and nice faculty, excellent and very helpful.
Tips: Don't overprepare. Just be ready for college, as it's already excellent and will motivate you. Scholarships are available, and I received one. My experience was amazing, and there was no cultural shift for me.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The staff and faculty are amazing and wonderful. The teaching methodology is great, with 100% concentration. The teaching faculty is highly diverse, non racist, and never discriminates. They treat everyone the same.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time work is low, and the work itself is not very effective. I would not recommend pursuing a job. I would suggest internships. Part-time work is not efficient, and the average quality is very low.
