Graduate Certificate in Business Management - Batch of 2024
4.4
The faculty are very helpful and understanding.
Tips: If you are considering studying at Fanshawe College, be sure to apply for international scholarships and awards that are listed on the Fanshawe Academic Works website. Also, consider joining campus volunteering groups to build connections, as getting references is important for getting a job. While you are studying, focus on your studies first; earning money can come later. As of December 2024, I would not recommend coming to Canada for studies if you plan to settle here, as the government is imposing many barriers.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All of my professors were incredibly helpful and kind, and I still keep in touch with them even though I am no longer a student. Business management primarily involves case-based studies, where you earn marks based on in-class participation. Most of the professors are Canadian.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees are higher, but you can recover that money within 3 to 4 years if you secure a decent job afterwards. There are both pros and cons to studying abroad. One important question to consider is whether it is worth being away from your family for this opportunity.

Graduate Certificate in regulatory Affairs and Quality Operations (Co-op) - Batch of 2024
4.4
The university offers great guidance and support.
Tips: Be prepared for academic integrity. If you are someone highly reliant on AI, it will not work well here in Canadian Colleges. The importance of self done work is high and appreciated. The support provided from the college and the Student Union is commendable and every student must take benefit of that. Students can apply for various awards and bursaries that have cash prizes involved. The bus pass is included the fee that makes traveling through the local transmit easy and at no additional cost. Overall, I highly recommend this college.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The programme has a focus on pharmaceuticals, food, medical devices, cannabis, and natural health products, and all of these are growing industries and their need will never decrease. Also, RA/QA is a very niche field and the country needs more professionals who can work in these roles. Also, the programme does align with new work permit requirements since it is related to healthcare.
Dislikes (Internships): The programme at Fanshawe College is a niche program. While the program does not have an internship component, the last semester is a co-op work term that is not compulsory. The college provides amazing support, but students must also put in the effort themselves. The college also accepted pharmacy assistant roles as co-op placements.

Graduate Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management - Batch of 2025

It is affordable and provide quality education .
Tips: Do your own research and look for scholarships. Talk with the faculty members. Look for every possible option to make you better. You will find various people from around the world. It is a safe environment for learning and having fun. The co-op course helps to build Canadian work experience.
Likes (Public transportation): It is located in the best possible location. It is in a safe area. Along with that, the scenery surrounding the campus is really beautiful. You can focus on studying while being a member of a club. You can also choose a location accordingly. You can participate in various events on campus.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The faculty members immediately react to any queries. The process is really simplified by the faculty. We have every possible facility. Read the website and prospectus carefully. The teachers are helpful and kind. The students are from around the glob, which makes learning fun and interesting.

Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2021
Offered by Carleton University
3.5
University that helped me shape well
Tips: The culture of Canada is very welcoming and since there are many immigrants, it is easier to blend in. Carleton University is very welcoming in terms of international students. However, the scholarships are very rare for Canadians but you can secure a spot as a Teaching/Research Assistant. I would recommend doing prior research before arriving in terms of coursework. Pro tip- Connect to your seniors over LinkedIn or Facebook.
Likes (Safety): I can travel alone even after midnight. At one time, I remember I was travelling alone on public transport and even though I was the only passenger in the bus, I still felt safe. The Downtown here in Ottawa has a lot of homeless but they mind their own business and don't charm you in any way.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are very hard to score as there are very few. Most internships are available in summer only so you have to adjust your courses accordingly. There are available internships related to construction but you need to apply very pro-actively in order to secure one as there is a lot of competition.

Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Batch of 2024
Offered by Carleton University
4.2
Student life is good to enjoy.
Tips: You should go to the university website and check the syllabus for the course. Apply and join the course only after reading the description. If you are very interested in one specific course then you contact the professor for supervision Masters. Public transportation can be a little tricky to get around.
Likes (Student Life): There are many events happening on and off campus. There are multiple on campus cafes and food joints. The student association organizes events for students. You can enjoy meals in the summer outside. You can go to the various services available on campus.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The system is not reliable. The buses might get delayed. Sometimes the train is under maintenance. Having a private vehicle is the better way for transportation and you can think about a bike in summer but that is difficult in winter because of the snow.
