MSc in Biomedicine - Batch of 2028
4.4
Safe, secure and friendly university.
Tips: Try applying to public universities. Apply for a German scholarship. At least learn an A1 language. Work on the accommodation prior to joining. Focus on core subjects in which you want to work. Try to gain experience in college days such as doing internships or jobs.
Likes (Safety): The public transport is high frequency and the streets are under surveillance. They have helpline services which are 24/7. Also the police are on patrol very often so we can contact them if there's any problem. Very friendly and helpful nature of each citizen.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Various stores such as Lidl and Edeka are there but they lack Indian food products such as Price, Dal, Masala and Tea powder. You can get those in city stores but for that you need to travel at least an hour for it. I prefer cooking at home instead of eating outside.

MSc in Industrial Engineering and International Management - Batch of 2026
5.0
The best private university with highly qualified faculty and a vibrant student life.
Tips: There are get-togethers for all students, seniors and juniors. I didn't receive any scholarships; my father sponsored my entire tuition fees. I am satisfied with my university; it is good, and the lecturers are very friendly. So, if you are planning on attending a private university, this is the best one.

MSc in Industrial Engineering and International Management - Batch of 2026
3.4
Easy going and manageable for sure.
Tips: Students should carefully consider the subjects within the courses they are enrolling in as the subject matter is more important than the course title. They should also assess whether the investment is likely to yield a good return. Students should proactively seek out part time work and internship opportunities as university support in this area may be limited.
Likes (Public transportation): Berlin's public transportation is excellent. While there can be some delays the SBahn, UBahn, and bus services are generally very good. You can easily access everything. This is particularly true in larger cities like Berlin and Munich. Smaller cities don't usually have such effective transport systems.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university itself doesn't offer many part-time job opportunities, as it's located in a small two story building. There are no cafe options and there are no assistant professor positions available for part time work. Therefore students need to find their own part time work.

Everything is good except the fees. Try to learn German to at least a B1 level.
Tips: Before joining college review the fee structure and manage your living expenses. Try to find accommodation near the college for easier travel. Also learn how to cook and bring your own spices before you come.

Master of Science in Computer Science for Digital Media - Batch of 2027
Offered by Bauhaus University Weimar
4.3
University that bring joy and love to your life
Tips: Students should know that they should focus on learning the German language. They should be confident and should be expressive. The students coming here should not panic and ask for help from anyone without hesitation because the people here are very kind and helpful. I didn't get any scholarships. I came on my own The course is very good and very demanding Overall I will recommend you all.
Likes (Public transportation): The transportation system in weimar is excellent; in every 10-15 minutes we have buses, the buses are comfortable and are time-punctual as well The transportation charges are covered under the academic semester fee of the university, which is 320 euros per semester approximately.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are many companies that are available here but there is a problem of language, like, as a student, you need to learn the German language at least at a B2 level; the job roles and salary packages vary and are very diverse But I can guarantee it's very good.

Master of Science in Computer Science for Digital Media - Batch of 2027
Offered by Bauhaus University Weimar
3.2
Easy going, academic, less opportunistic
Tips: The first thing is you will feel the biggest cultural shock: none will talk to you even if you cry, laugh, or whatever. But once you are comfortable and you know how things work, you will be comfortable. I am so much more satisfied with the country; it was my fault that 'I didn't learn German beforehand at least till the B2 level. I am not very satisfied with my university's honesty; the course name is also like, you have to explain to everyone what you are doing, but the content of the course is really technical and computer science, machine learning, and security-oriented.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is really good here. There are several buses running with a good time difference, including trains and all. That's free because we get a Deutschland ticket from our university. Only ICE is something you can't travel with. For buses, trams, and trains anywhere in Germany, you can travel for free. It is very convenient.
Dislikes (Internships): I gave internships a low rating because the local job market around Weimar is practically dead right now, and the university makes things worse by cutting back on student assistant roles (HiWi positions), claiming they’re completely out of budget. When you ask around for help, everyone just gives you the generic 'keep applying' speech without offering any actual leads or connections. Even alumni or people from your own home country who managed to land solid roles won’t lift a finger to refer you. You have to accept early on that you are completely on your own out here. By all means, network and be friendly with everyone you meet, but never rely on anyone to throw you a lifeline. You're way better off looking for jobs outside Weimar in the bigger German cities, so stop waiting around for a favor and just spam applications on your own.
