MSc in Biomedicine - Batch of 2028
4.4
Safe, secure and friendly university.
Tips: Try applying to public universities. Apply for a German scholarship. At least learn an A1 language. Work on the accommodation prior to joining.
Focus on core subjects in which you want to work. Try to gain experience in college days such as doing internships or jobs.
Likes (Safety): The public transport is high frequency and the streets are under surveillance. They have helpline services which are 24/7. Also the police are on patrol very often so we can contact them if there's any problem. Very friendly and helpful nature of each citizen.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Various stores such as Lidl and Edeka are there but they lack Indian food products such as Price, Dal, Masala and Tea powder. You can get those in city stores but for that you need to travel at least an hour for it. I prefer cooking at home instead of eating outside.

MSc in Industrial Engineering and International Management - Batch of 2026
5.0
The best private university with highly qualified faculty and a vibrant student life.
Tips: There are get-togethers for all students, seniors and juniors. I didn't receive any scholarships; my father sponsored my entire tuition fees. I am satisfied with my university; it is good, and the lecturers are very friendly. So, if you are planning on attending a private university, this is the best one.

MSc in Industrial Engineering and International Management - Batch of 2026
3.4
Easy going and manageable for sure.
Tips: Students should carefully consider the subjects within the courses they are enrolling in as the subject matter is more important than the course title. They should also assess whether the investment is likely to yield a good return. Students should proactively seek out part time work and internship opportunities as university support in this area may be limited.
Likes (Public transportation): Berlin's public transportation is excellent. While there can be some delays the SBahn, UBahn, and bus services are generally very good. You can easily access everything. This is particularly true in larger cities like Berlin and Munich. Smaller cities don't usually have such effective transport systems.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university itself doesn't offer many part-time job opportunities, as it's located in a small two story building. There are no cafe options and there are no assistant professor positions available for part time work. Therefore students need to find their own part time work.

Everything is good except the fees. Try to learn German to at least a B1 level.
Tips: Before joining college review the fee structure and manage your living expenses. Try to find accommodation near the college for easier travel. Also learn how to cook and bring your own spices before you come.

Student life review - SRH University campus Cologne
Tips: If you're coming to SRH, you need to accept right away that you'll have to bust your gut from day one. Because of the core principle—where you focus on one five-week block at a time instead of juggling five different subjects—the academic pace hits you fast, and you can’t afford to slack off.
Don't bank on getting a scholarship here because the competition is brutal. The uni does have funding, but they screen applicants like crazy—you basically need straight A's and an insane background story just to be considered. Looking back, I’m genuinely glad I made this move. The practical, hands-on style of the course; the overall student vibe in NRW; and the way the uni sets up its projects make the whole stressful grind completely worth it.
Likes (Public transportation): I gave public transport a high rating because the connection across North Rhine-Westphalia is honestly fantastic, especially if you want to zip between Leverkusen and Cologne or Düsseldorf. The major win is the Deutschlandticket—having that covered in your semester fee makes traveling anywhere completely mindless and incredibly cheap.
The only real catch is the SRH campus location itself. It’s tucked away a bit further out, so the local buses aren't running every single minute. If you happen to miss your connection, you're pretty much stuck doing a brisk 10 or 15-minute walk to get to class. As long as you actually check the DB app before leaving your room, the regional transit is a lifesaver for getting around on the cheap.
Dislikes (Internships): The university offers guidance with CVs and cover letters. There's not much apart from this. Students are expected to be prepared to look for opportunities on their own. The internships are definitely relevant, but you get in based on skills. There is no "placement cell" department like in India.

Good transportation facilities.
Tips: I have improved myself personally in many aspects. I have learned many things. There are many cultural shifts but we can get used to it its not difficult. I didn't apply for any scholarship but if students want, they can apply as our college sponsors some of them.
Dislikes (Internships): There are internships available but we should find on our own most of them college help only for a few.
They almost try to help in all the ways but we should also try on our own and try to explore more rather than depending on college completely.

The locals are friendly and helpful but try learning German.
Tips: I feel I got lucky and got a master's degree easily while some others are working hard to get one. One thing every student should keep in mind when coming here for education is to keep strong both mentally and physically when facing challenges and to learn German. You will grow higher and higher this way. Cologne is generally a safe city with strong security. It’s one of the best places to live in the Nordrein-Westfalen region. Personally, I’ve never had a safety issue and find the locals to be friendly and helpful. True, some of them may look down on me as an outsider, but there’s nothing I can do about it, so I just ignore it and go on about my business. I feel that the tuition for my course is relatively high compared to the quality of education, resources, and career support I have received. I expected more hands-on experience, industry exposure, and practical studies. I believe the program would have been better with internship support and industry connections.
