Tips: Very academic and very competitive. I think most of your time here will pass in simply trying to keep up with the level of dedication and competitiveness required to sustain. It has a solid reputation for computer Science and other engineering fields and the professors are some of the finest ones I've learnt from. Indian food options are not as authentic and the weather is largely the same throughout.

Tips: Engineering and sciences here are data-driven, to the point and great if you're interested in research and broadening your horizons. Learn to think critically and ask for help when stuck; don't just cram everything you learn. Overall, the US is a friendly country, and there are lots of people like you.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty, especially my professors, are truly skilled, great at what they do, and genuinely passionate. I have learnt a lot from them and continue to do so. Teaching is also diverse; there is mixed representation here. You won't find them better.

Georgia Tech for an international freshman is the best if you can balance work and fun.
Tips: For international students from South Asian countries, getting used to doing one's own chores might be challenging but everyone eventually gets accustomed to it. Scholarships are not available to international students as it is a public university. Overall, I love Georgia Teach. I think if one can balance their work and social life, the experience is very lucrative and par every top-tier college in the US.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is great at Georgia Teach: there are many academic and social clubs one can join. Academically oriented clubs are great opportunities for networking while social clubs enable one to meet people with similar interests. Greek life is also a major part of the Georgia Tech experience for many!
Dislikes (Safety): The campus itself is safe: Georgia Tech is a safe bubble. Downtown Atlanta is considered unsafe. As a rule of thumb, it is best not to stay outside beyond 3 AM. There is strength in numbers: travelling in groups is always the preferred option. Campus is safe 99% of the time: campus police patrol the area day and night.

Great academic university.
Tips: The course is pretty good. Lots of resources in terms of job search. There is an opportunity to get funding in terms of student assistant, teaching assistant and research assistant. I really like the university. It's pretty much worth the money. I was able to get used to the culture here.
Likes (Student Life): They have a lot of clubs and activities. They prioritize student health and wellness. They have the robotics club and most clubs don't need prior experience. You can just sign up for anything and they teach you about it from scratch. You get to take part in several competitions.
Dislikes (Safety): We have GTPD and they are always available on call. They do prioritize the safety of the students. This was not on campus but there was a random guy who came up to me and asked me for money. It was definitely scary. There are a lot of homeless people in the area where I live.

Great Tech school with amazing grad program!
Tips: Graduate programs at Georgia tech are well-reputed and provide students with abundant knowledge and exposure. Limitless opportunities are available both during and after graduation from school. Some useful tips while prepping for graduation school:
- Reach out to your department and apply for teaching assistantships once you receive the admit. - Email professors and graduation students in the lab (information available on university web page) regarding research assistantships.
Likes (Post study jobs): Even in the field of Aerospace engineering, there are multiple companies that sponsor work visas. As I stayed on for a Ph.D. my knowledge in this domain is limited. From my experience in the lab, industry and national labs are always on the lookout for talented graduation students.
Dislikes (Safety): Multiple safety issues have occurred in the city, but the campus is relatively safe. Housing options close to the campus are recommended. Georgia tech police dept. is extremely responsive in case of any emergency, make sure to contact them. The shuttle system is well-connected and is your best bet for safe transportation in and around campus.

Tips: The transition after moving here hasn't been that hard for me. Because I have a lot of Indian friends here who were like a family to me, they did not make me feel like I was lonely or alone. I am mostly satisfied with the university as it is one of the top universities and gave me a lot of opportunities and chances to go ahead in my career.

Amazing and best University for cybersecurity in USA
Tips: Georgia tech being the top ranked university has rigorous course so students coming to Georgia tech should be ready to do hard work. University is situated in Atlanta city which is diverse so students should be ready to adopt themself in that environment. Personally, I haven't experienced many transitions after coming to Georgia tech. Initially, I faced difficulty in following my culture but later everything came to place. I didn't avail of any scholarship. I am fully satisfied with my university, their course and their way of teaching are very good and of course, the country is beautiful and the best place to settle.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty members are easily approachable and accessible and they are often willing to guide students after the class. Many faculty members host drop-in office hours where students can discuss their assignments and other stuff. Teaching methodologies that I find unique and interesting are project-based learning, learning through classroom discussions, and lastly learning through case studies. Diversity can be found in teaching faculty in terms of nationality. Faculty members are from South Korea, France, Germany, Taiwan and so on.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): If I had to settle permanently in this country then chances of me setting is around 80-90% because it is the best place for my career growth, has good and healthy environment and most important every tech giant company like Google, Microsoft and so on is now opening offices in Atlanta. So would consider setting in the country.

Tips: Before joining the college, one must be prepared to be independent, hardworking, and able to focus very well. Students must know how to reduce their aggression and keep their minds on their goals. They also need to have their own things and be prepared for the nice facilities the college offers. We might get the internship. The competition is very high. Most of my friends got the internship. But once you get it, it will be highly valuable. Even the college tries hard to give you an internship. If you work somewhat hard, then you will get a good internship at a top company.
Likes (Safety): The management of the campus, or the college, whatever you want to call it, takes care of everything that goes on inside the college. They are really good at maintaining security. No one is allowed to bring weapons in. And if we have any complaints, the management responds very well.

A very welcoming and homely place where you can learn a lot.
Tips: Received a 10% scholarship and a 500 professional development fund to attend conferences and get certificates. Definitely very satisfied with all the learning outcomes. There's also an Indian association that takes care of all Indian students' needs.
Likes (Value for money): The courses are very good. The living expenses of the city of Raleigh are also quite low in comparison to other cities, making it easy to manage expenses while working part time on campus. The tuition is manageable as well and they also waive tuition if you get a TA or RA position.
Dislikes (Internships): There are internships but just the market in general isn't the best right now and for the career fair, only a few companies accept F1 students. Some students who have work experience have got very good internships all around the US and they provide good career guidance services so eventually everyone will definitely get a job.

My transition was smooth, I had even got my finances sorted and even secured a part-time job before arriving in the States. Most international students work part-time jobs here. The university offers scholarships and funding to various departments.
Likes (Public transportation): The university has its own public transportation which is well-connected to all campuses and the housing location that students prefer on or off-campus. The frequency is amazing year around. The public transportation is completely free and very convenient.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fee structure is very manageable compared to most of the Universities. And the university being a public university, has various facilities and resources for international students. The departments have funding and scholarships, even if you want to do a the university funds you for it.

Tips: One of the best courses with a strong curriculum and excellent career support. The Financial Mathematics programme at NC State offers a well-structured and rigorous curriculum. Tuition is reasonable compared to similar programs and there are multiple scholarship opportunities available. Additionally, there are plenty of on-campus part-time jobs available for students. A great value-for-money programme.
Likes (Value for money): It is one of the best courses with a strong curriculum, excellent career services and reasonable tuition. Being rigorous academically and having excellent career guidance along with great industry exposure with hands-on projects makes this a great value-for-money programme.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Mostly American food options are available at a reasonable price. Indian grocery and food options are not very accessible. I prefer cooking for myself which reduces living expenses by a considerable amount. There is a Feed the Pack free grocery service which you can avail for basic groceries.

Great university for aerospace and Indian students.
Tips: Cultural shock might initially be challenging but the large Indian student population at NC State makes it easy to make friends, which can help ease homesickness. Securing Resident Assistant (RA) or Teaching Assistant (TA) positions is quite competitive so plan accordingly. Finding part-time work is relatively easy; dining jobs offer $10 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week, which can cover living expenses if you share a room and budget carefully. Over time you may be able to move into a higher grade or departmental position which is less demanding and offers better pay. Scholarships for Indian nationals are scarce. The university is excellent with a good faculty, well structured coursework and strong research opportunities. Be prepared to dedicate yourself to your studies. The academic approach here differs significantly from Indian universities; cramming won't suffice for good grades. Plan your studies thoroughly

It has been a wonderful experience.
Tips: I have seen a lot of personal transformation and developments within my personality after coming here. There was a phase initially where I found things to be quite familiar but NCSU has a truly helpful student community and services to make things simpler. Explore some of the local cuisines near campus as they are comparatively more reasonable than other food options and take classes according to your preferred timings and schedule.

Tips: I personally chose this college because of its research programs and so far, I have not been disappointed. The availability of research positions as students is far more than any other university. This experience has been invaluable for my personal and academic growth. I really like the faculty at this college. They are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Tips: NCSU is known to be academically rigorous and diverse in terms of student body. Aside from this, you will get the opportunity to experience multiple different clubs and societies based on your interests.
