Best cities to live in. The faculty help in networking.
Tips: For students moving here there will be a cultural shift for sure.
It is smart to get referrals for on-campus jobs, as they are limited. Try staying Bridgeport area, as it is affordable and safe. Chicago is one of the best cities in the US, you will get to a lot of networking events outside the university which can help you in many ways.

One of the most Amazing Experiences.
Tips: There's definitely a cultural shift. I personally loved the new country/city/university challenge and was up for all the tasks ahead. Find good friends/roommates who will guide you and help you in your transition. Don't hesitate to change your accommodation if not suitable for your academic preference. I didn't avail of any scholarships because I wasn't aware of any. There are different undergrad and graduate school scholarships available so do your research. I can say that I am somewhat satisfied with the course/university. Definitely would have liked a cheaper college but I suppose I did the best I could with the scores. Chicago is a beautiful city. The summers are short but pleasant, winters are long and the city is covered in snow for almost 3 months so definitely extreme weather conditions will take some time to get used to but it is undeniably beautiful. Some parts of the city are not safe and generally, you will be aware of those with research. Try to avoid those areas and don't wander alone at night. Everything will be great. Good luck to whoever reading this for your future.
Likes (Public transportation): Chicago has one of the best public transportation systems with frequent trains and buses even during night times. It is super affordable as semester passes are generally provided by the university as part of your tuition fees. Public transportation runs in all weather (even in heavy snow and rain).
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are available but very limited. Usually, you get them through connections. 100s apply but a chosen few are selected. Very much depends on the particular facility you are applying for. Personally, I applied but never got any. It is definitely manageable. Sometimes you will have to do weekend shifts or work late at night but the campus provides late-night drop offs. Pay is generally minimum wage in the state (usually $12/hr - $14/hr).

Many Indian students are present in the campus.
Tips: In college, maximum number of students in ITM and CS branches are Indian only.
So there was no cultural shift that I experienced. Initially, you may feel some changes and that's all.
But after 2-3 weeks it will be the same. One should just focus on GRE and SOPs.

US has its drawbacks too. Think carefully
Tips: Be prepared for a new life. College doesn’t matter. Personality matters. If you are smart you will get a job at Google and if not you will end up back in India wasting your money. So think carefully about the courses you are taking and the people you are hanging out with.

Great faculty and a diverse student life.
Tips: Students will know all of the clubs and opportunities. The university has strong connections that help its students. The faculty and students are also so supportive of each other. They have some standout teachers who have been involved with their students and have helped them grow professionally. I am quite satisfied with my experience.
Likes (Quality of faculty): I like the college because there is no sexism or racism there. The college has many clubs, which allow students to interact with other departments. The college is also recognised for its research, as well as the importance of collaboration and communication between individuals and organisations in the workplace.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The faculty provides good orientation, which helps students to know about the career opportunities. I hope everyone will find good opportunities in tech with engineering skills and experience to help them achieve their goals and achieve their dreams.

The faculty are well experienced and supportive.
Tips: Scholarships are available at the university, and I got my scholarship from my marks or entrance test for college admission. My college days are spent in the lecture hall or doing assignments with my friends or studying with my friends or teachers. There's so much support for student learning and achievement.
Dislikes (Value for money): The fee is justified because the faculty are well experienced and explain everything in a simple way. The faculty are good at supporting the students and they treat them like their own children. You should not feel lonely at the college, and the students are very innocent.

College is good, faculty are amazing and the audience is almost Indian students.
Tips: I did my research and read the course descriptions thoroughly. I was awarded a scholarship based on my GPA and extracurricular activities. At first, it was quite difficult, but I knew I had to do it and I chose a course that I wanted to pursue further. The university is always happening and there are many on-campus events, activities and workshops so do participate in it. I am very satisfied with the course, country and college.

Illinois Institute of technology has an academic oriented approach.
Tips: Before joining IIT students should be prepared for a rigorous academic program, a smaller campus community and life in Chicago with its opportunities and challenges, including harsh winters. Transitioning to IIT involves adapting to the American teaching style, independent living and cultural differences. Scholarships, like the Residential Scholarship, often help with tuition but rarely cover living expenses. IIT is academically rewarding but must adjust to the cultural and lifestyle changes in the U.S.

It's a very good campus, good infrastructure great faculty.
Tips: Students coming here should know that not many scholarships are provided and the tuition fee is not that high. The university is very good and course is very well constructed. The professors are great when it comes to teaching but the university was little hard to compete. Don't except good grades, you have to give your best in order to achieve good results and you will learn very much.

Beautiful college with immense opportunities.
Tips: In order to progress, we need to give decent time and energy towards each course. For B.A. ITM, Cybersecurity courses, we need to pass Statistics course, that is one big hurdle for international students. If you are average or below average student and not willing to put some effort, then please don't choose this college. Every year at least 30-40% of Indian students transfers from this university after first semester as they were not able to pass the Statistics course.
Likes (Value for money): College has very good facilities in terms of labs and faculty for the course fee they are charging. Fee is very reasonable when compared with other private and public universities offering same type of facilities and opportunities to students. Overall it's a good value for money.
Dislikes (Internships): There will be an internship fair in the campus but most of the companies are business and logistics related. In addition, number of companies offering internships are very less. Guidance for internships are not much in the university as even students with good skills are not able to get the internships.

It’s a decent sized vibrant college with adequate facilities to excel ourselves.
Tips: Apply for GA positions before coming here.
Form a group of 4 or 6 and rent apartments while in India and directly come to it in the USA.
Try to avoid coming as placed in somebody else's room. Come to this university only if you are above average student and willing to put effort into studies. Arrange money for your expenses for at least 6 months.
Choose nice roommates.
Likes (Safety): We have a good campus safety department round the clock and they have a toll-free number which you can dial at any time in case of emergencies. We have a laser team making grounds on the campus round the clock ensuring the safety of students and maintaining a safe environment on campus.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): We have career fairs for post-study jobs but they are mostly for finance and business guys. I don't have any idea about sponsor visas and salaries. But the salary package is decent enough if you get a job at the campus fair. For that, you need to build a network through networking.

The faculty is friendly and knowledgeable.
Tips: Make up your mind that you have do your part in order to excel in your studies. It’s about, if you work on your studies, you can see the progress and you will get the help that you need from the people of the university. You may feel a bit stressful about the classes but that is a part of the learning.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty here I found them very knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects. They are friendly and will be able to guide you in your journey to reach your goal. If you have any questions always feel free to ask them to the professors that’s what I felt.
Dislikes (Internships): The hunt for internships is very high and not all will be able to get an internship. A student is allowed to apply for the internship after 2 semesters (F1 students precisely) but then if you can make as much as networking with people involved in any events, I think you will be able to find one.
