BSc Hons in Economics and Finance - Batch of 2025
3.8
Great university to find your potential.
Tips: I have found the transition to university life much easier as I live with my parents. I was not eligible for any scholarships, but I am pretty satisfied with the course as most lecturers are always there to guide you. Also, some lecturers might not be good, but you have the academic mentors to clarify any academic doubts. The campus is close to central London and it is very well connected. You have multiple tube lines that are nearby, and you can also use the buses. It is pretty affordable, but it depends upon where you live as prices might differ based on zones, but you can avail discounts by using a student oyster card.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is harder for those on student visas to find a job, as companies are less willing to sponsor work visas because it is costly to do so. I am not sure about the job roles and salaries offered as I haven't graduated from university yet, but I will be graduating in 2025.

London Metropolitan University is an outstanding institute with knowledge deliverable.
Tips: It was not much difficult to adapt to the culture but there are some situations to accept. Especially culture, language, accent, and climate change which we have not experienced in our own country. Moreover, expense management, time management, part-time work, education and life balance gave me new experiences.
Likes (Student Life): In here, student life is much more convenient due to the diversity of students. Always there are more new things to learn and to be impressed with in the UK. As an international student, I reckon we should have those experiences within our university and outside of the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is not easy to search part time job in UK. As I experienced, it takes time to catch up with the job and adapt to it. Mainly with time management. Also, it is difficult to observe some options within relevant fields and mostly there are more barriers to having a job in the desired sector.

MSc in International Business Management with Project Management - Batch of 2022
3.4
Exquisite, friendly and multi-cultural university.
Tips: Before commencement, all the students are required to attend a welcome. These are compulsory and will help you with campus and faculty introduction. Would also suggest incoming students be actively involved with student societies and events which help break barriers and meet and connect with new people.
Likes (Student Life): London Met's campus are located in the heart of the city and it's the world's most diverse and enigmatic city. Also once you are admitted you become a part of the student union which enriches your life here. Living here as a student is an incredible experience with so many fantastic attractions like world-renowned museums, galleries and libraries.
Dislikes (Value for money): It offers an international study experience study at the heart of London. Also, the acceptance rate is close to 80% so the chances of getting into the college are high. The feels is somewhere close to 12K pounds but with the help of financial aid and scholarships students can get financial help.

Career-focused university with strong industry link.
Tips: Before joining Technological University of the Shannon, students should know that it is a practical, career-focused university with strong industry link. Courses often include hands-on projects, labs and sometimes internships, so being ready for continuous assessment is important.

No practical skills or career ready experience.
Tips: The DA or B.A. course structure is not particularly industry-aligned. Internships through college are also very limited. The cultural transaction is manageable, you'll need to take initiative for everything from learning to job hunting because support from university is minimal. I did receive scholarship based on merit which is one good thing. I honesty am not satisfied with the course, especially in terms of academic content and teaching quality.
Likes (Safety): There is no extra safety provided, but the people around the city don't seem to be harmful, and the only plus point is Garda can be minutes away. If you stay in student accommodation they have security guards available, and a few houses have a key locking system.
Dislikes (Internships): There are very less opportunities for Internships, and it is even harder to find a job, no matter how much experience you have. A lot of colleges offer Data Analytics and Business Analytics courses, but the internships you can find are very less and the college doesn't help in finding them.

The university is good. Faculty are highly talented and the management process is smooth as well.
Tips: College is decent, and course-wise I gained some information. Before applying, check with the college about scholarships. Also, learn some skills before going for a master's to make your life easier. On a personal level, I feel like prior knowledge would really help in getting a job. Ireland has a very clear Visa pathway. After we get a sponsor job, within 21 months, we can apply for PR. After staying legally for five years, which includes Stamp 1G, Stamp 1, and Stamp 4, we can apply for Irish citizenship or a passport. Overall, Ireland is a peaceful country, so it's a good place to be.
Dislikes (Value for money): After paying the fee for my classes, I found out that all the courses for this degree program were online. COVID-19 was behind this decision, and I felt like the course was too expensive for just online recorded classes. I do feel like I received 100% of the information from the course, but the fact that class attendance wasn't mandatory felt a little liberal.
