Certificate in Business Administrative Assistant - Batch of 2022
4.1
In my experience, one of the best college in Manitoba so far.
Tips: You should be aware of the scope of the course you choose. You should have good communication skills, English proficiency. Your typing speed should be 50 to 60 wpm. You need some social skills. You need to bring creativity. You should bring your own thoughts to study, don't copy-paste for assignments.
Likes (Part time work): We can easily get part-time work nearby college. In this college, you can do part time work because it's easy to study and work at the same time. I can easily manage my expenses.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Its good to take admission in this college because it is difficult to get offer letter from this college but easy for PR settlement. Take one or two year course. Moreover, its easy to get work permit through this college. You need to be careful with your studies.

Certificate in Sales and Event Coordinator - Batch of 2024

Practical Learning Experience with Strong Career Focus
Tips: Before joining MITT, students should be readied for a practical, hands-on-learning approach with regular presentations and group work. My transition was slow, though adapting to independent learning took some time. I did not receive any scholarships. I'm overall satisfied with my course, university and country.
Likes (Public transportation): It is highly reliable, affordable and well connected. The campus is easily accessible by bus and the routes are well connected to the city as well. Public transport is very convenient, punctual and a great option for students.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Finding work in Canada is not impossible but honestly trying to actually land a job that sponsors your visa is a total nightmare. It’s especially brutal if you’re looking in sales or event coordination. You’ve got the massive names like Amazon or banks like Scotiabank and RBC that technically do sponsorship, but there are barely any spots and the competition is just through the roof. Most of the stuff you'll find is for sales coordinators or account managers, usually starting around the 40k mark—which, honestly, barely covers the basics. Getting that first break is just a massive slog

Very limited internship opportunities.
Tips: There is indeed a cultural shift as you come to a new country, because people living here are different as well as the scenarios, so you have to ACT more maturely and smartly. There are no scholarships available. Public transportation in Montreal is quite good as they have buses as well as metro lines going mostly everywhere inside the city as well as stretch out little. Frequencies for transportation are also good around 15 - 20 minutes inside the city area. Also, the cost of transportation is also quite low and affordable. In Montreal, it can be hard to find part-time jobs if you don't speak French. Many workplaces prefer bilingual employees, so it helps to have French-speaking skills if you want a customer-facing role. You can find warehouse and food-packaging work as a non-French speaker, but securing a customer service or sales position might be challenging. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Lasalle Montreal College has a friendly environment.
Tips: It's a nice college that helps you to complete your studies as soon as possible. Classes are 5 days a week, it helps you complete study hours on a fast track. This college has a good reputation so getting a work permit after studies is easy as compared to other colleges.

Lasalle college in terms of academics is excellent providing great knowledge and opportunities.
Tips: In order to see myself transition well I made sure I got familiar with the curriculum and engaged myself in understanding the academic side of it as effectively as possible. Try making some friends I would say. I did not avail of any scholarships. I am not sure if there were any scholarships up for grabs. It was an intense program of study at Lasalle College which provided us with the necessary skills and knowledge for me to join the industry and allowed me to do well from day 1. Overall, I am fully satisfied with the courses I took at the college.
Likes (Part time work): There are way more options in off campus jobs versus on campus jobs as Lasalle despite being an excellent school for studies and is not a huge campus. Managing work is hard if you’re attending school 5 days a week. Average part time payout: 400$ weekly.
Dislikes (Internships): As a general thing, not much help is to be expected from the school in terms of getting an internship. Any school for that matter in Canada I would say. Students have to build a network on their own and only expect a little help from the school they attend. There are relevant internships available.
