As a result, the campus tends to be quieter during evenings and weekends, with fewer social events compared to traditional residential universities. Students who are looking for a vibrant, always-active campus life may find this aspect underwhelming unless they actively participate in clubs or student organisations. Montclair State University offers a strong academic foundation and proximity to New York City. A significant number of students do not live on campus, which results in a quieter atmosphere, especially during weekends. For students seeking a vibrant, around-the-clock campus environment, this can feel underwhelming. Additionally, the lack of weekend activities and limited campus engagement opportunities outside of class hours contribute to a relatively inactive social scene. Very friendly faculty, nice campus with on campus jobs.
Tips: Students should know that the faculty are very friendly and supportive, and the academics are good. However, there are hardly any Indian students on campus, so students need to understand the people here. Also, there are no scholarships that I know of, but the administration will get back to you if you email them. Overall, I am really satisfied with the university and my studies.
Likes (Part time work): On-campus jobs are easy to find, especially in dining with AVI Food Systems. You can even Google it. We can easily manage both studies and work. Also, on-campus jobs pay $15 per hour without taxes, and we can easily get an SSN with an on-campus job. Overall, Bryant University is a good environment for growth and development.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): I really like the faculty at Bryant University. They are very friendly, approachable and very supportive of the students. The studies are good, and both online and offline classes are available. The faculty are mostly American and Chinese, and you hardly see any Asians. But it is a good environment for growth and development.
