Learn French before joining. It will open a lot of doors of opportunities.
Tips: Learning French would be a great thing as most of my peers speak French and in order to feel included, it would be great to speak the language. Interacting with the professors is a must; this was a cultural shock for me in a way, as in India it was merely the professor who talks and students listen and ask questions if they did not understand a specific content and not question the professors or even disagree with them. I received a merit based scholarship from the school itself.

A rigorous and globally enriching academic experience.
Tips: They have 8 different campuses located in different continents of the world and each specialization is taught in a particular campus so it is a great way to enjoy an international educational experience. If you do the MiM program in the first year you are allowed to take a gap year which enables you to do internships and right after your gap year, you are allowed to do an exchange semester in one of the partner universities of Skema which comprises around 300 options to choose from across the globe. Courses are taught purely in English and language courses are also offered as part of the curriculum. Different sports clubs and various internal associations are available so to network well be a member of as many associations as possible.
Last but not least, classes can vary between 8 am to 8 pm but in a day, maximum lecture hours would be 4 to 4.5 hours allowing you to develop other personal skills.

At home worldwide and Internationally diverse.
Tips: International adaptability is a key skill. Student life is not just about academics, but networking and communication plays a key role. Take part in all the corporate events conducted by the school as it adds up a lot of value. I have never felt that my university is just a place for academics but actually a place where learning meets fun. I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Academics, sports, and extracurricular activities all contribute to a complete student life, and Skema's policies support this well. While academics are a strong asset of Skema, the diversity in sports clubs and associations also adds value. I was also a member of the Skema Student Committee.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The faculty is a mix of international professionals many of whom are employed by major global corporations and come as visiting professors. This provides excellent learning opportunities and networking with these mentors is key.

Securing an internship early is challenging, especially for non-European passport holders.
Tips: Be prepared for racism particularly in Paris if you are from an Asian background. Students with an engineering background will find the concepts easier to grasp. I recommend completing French language courses up to A2/B1 level before coming here.
Likes (Safety): The campus is located in a safe and secure area. It can be accessible by public transport. Find housing in a safe area and avoid individuals acting as housing agents. Many newcomers to France have been victims of housing scams.
Dislikes (Internships): The talent and career department isn't as helpful as other similar business schools. Securing an internship early is challenging especially for non-European passport holders. Finding an internship in a non-teaching field can be difficult without speaking French.

A proper international experience.
Tips: I have been to Europe before so cultural shock was not a thing for me. But if someone is aiming for France, he/she must know French. I didn't get any scholarships but there are several scholarships and government aid available. Overall it was a good experience.
Likes (Safety): France is considered as one of the safest countries in the world. It's usually safe to go out even at night. I had great experience but some people around me have had an experience with pickpocketers. You have to be cautious around the touristic areas.
Dislikes (Part time work): It's difficult for the students who don't speak French. Also, not many part-time jobs are available for students as their schedules might clash with the work hours. The college also provides some internship options though part-time is usually manageable.

Skema makes sure to give you the top quality education and knowledge.
Tips: Students should know that there is obviously a cultural shift, but not that big. Speaking basic French is a must to survive outside the university campus. You can also get an early bird scholarship. Work related to the government is a bit slow, so you need to stay on your toes and keep constantly following up.

The university is great and the faculty is experienced and talented.
Tips: Students should learn French to get jobs and prepare the materials for the class assignment. You can get scholarships if you are doing a two-year Master's programme. There are also early bird discounts that are available when you apply for the universities. The early bird is normally available to everyone.
Likes (Quality of faculty): As all the faculty members are the top executives of the company, their teaching is valuable as it is with experience. Most of the teachers have their own way of teaching, some start directly with the assignment or use cases, and some basically start with theory and give you assignments to do.
Dislikes (Internships): For internships, the students are required to speak French to get selected. Internships are available and there are many opportunities but one needs the minimum level of French, B1 level to get the job. The silver lining is that one can apply to other European countries.

A wonderful stepping stone for a brighter future.
Tips: Students should know that there's a lot of work that you have to do even if you go home to complete your assignments. There is no campus placement as such. The university will just guide you for internships but you're on your own. I'm pretty satisfied with the university.
Likes (Student Life): There are a lot of clubs and communities that are there at the campus. They organise various events that you can participate in, which can be both academic as well as social. Most college days you are going to be busy. If you are free explore the city with your friends.
Dislikes (Internships): Finding internships related to your coursework is very hard in the first year since you're doing a generalised course for the 1st year. I had to find my internship so did my friends so try to find an internship by yourself.

Amazing student life with lots of excitement and experiences.
Tips: The most important thing is language. Students aiming for France for higher studies should learn French. This will help them be it with socializing and getting part time jobs, internships and full time, etc. I availed a scholarship of 3000 and there is one government scholarship that one student from India can attain. Other than that there are college scholarship which depends on the previous marks and all.
Likes (Student Life): The college life was amazing. The campus is in front of the French River. The campus building is small comparatively but being in Paris it was fine. We had different clubs and used to have parties every Thursday. There are international student clubs, clubs for finance and clubs for co-curricular activities.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Well, there are not many Indian food options around the campus and some of them are very expensive so I generally just eat at a fast food chain. I generally prefer cooking myself because it's cost effective and cheaper than eating at the restaurants, that too in Paris which is very expensive for a student.

Good University and a great transportation facilities.
Tips: Students should know that there is huge cultural shift, as French people do a lot of things different than us, one of which is their winner circle is really small. Sometimes you feel more like a colleagues/classmates rather than a friend. I got the excellence scholarship at Skema, I got it just by I had good grades in my Bachelors and a some professional experience. The school is great, the teachers are really helpful and possess great knowledge, you'll get all the tools for your learning, but the only con is if you're a foreigner than its a relatively hard task to land a job because of all the legalities involved.
Likes (Safety): The city is very safe, and they have night buses and people are always ready to help, if they see you in trouble they come to the rescue. The police are always patrolling and are always active. Although there are a few areas where you have to be a little extra cautious.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): As we are not European passport holders, for us to work in Europe we need the company to sponsor us, and that's the cost that very few companies will be willing to take. But a lot of people landed a job it's a matter of time and it tests your patience.

Satisfying international experience and a wonderful university to learn many things.
Tips: You must be at least B1 level in French before you decide to study in France, even though the courses are in English you must know French to get internships and full time offers easily. For international students there are numerous scholarships available (like Eiffel scholarships, etc. ). The deadline for these scholarships ends early, so one must be vigilant to apply for these scholarships before the deadline. I am satisfied with the course and country. The best thing about SKEMA is its international mobility, you can change campuses in different countries very easily.

Skema is a great option only if you are ready to embrace the challenges.
Tips: 1. Cultural shift was definitely there. I suggest students to learn French up to A2 level so that it becomes easy to integrate.
2. You can apply for Skema academic excellence scholarship during your application process. It's 3000 Euro off for 2 year course.
3. I'd say it's satisfactory when it comes to course and university. The country probably not that much, considering the language and cultural barriers.
Likes (Public transportation): You can reach the city centre in 20-30 minutes easily. Options like Train (Line L), Tram, Bus and RER A, and metro 1 are available. Paris has excellent public transportation overall. The connectivity is great and you'd have no problems reaching your place any time of the day. Students get an Imagine R pass for 365 Euros per year with unlimited travel.
Dislikes (Value for money): Considering the ranking and reputation of the college, it is justified to an extent. But when I compare my tuition fees with my friends' colleges it's a bit on the higher side. If you manage to get a scholarship, that'll help a lot and hence you get the value for your money.

Adapting French culture with excellent support from Skema Business school.
Tips: Students should know that there are many cultural differences. The food is different, the French administration is very slow and also there are sometimes ongoing strikes. University helps you with everything from finding accommodation, opening bank accounts, visa issues and everything. I'm happy with my course as it's both practical and theoretical. I got merit based scholarship of 5K Euros. Skema Business School is renowned all over Europe so it's easy to get internship/ jobs.
Likes (Public transportation): Paris has one of the best transport systems in the world. They have transportation 24*7. They have metro, buses, trams and RER which connect suburbs to the city center. The public transport costs 45 per month for the students and adults it will be 78. Also once you get an internship/job you get reimbursement of your metro pass.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many Indian food options available in Paris. Even for someone like me who is vegetarian, there are many options. I prefer cooking myself at home. If someone is vegetarian there are many options available like Greek food, Mexican and Italian foods and also Lebanese kebabs.

Good College Experience: The hub of learning & growth
Tips: Before joining the college, students should be clear about the institution's culture, academic programs, career opportunities, and resources as well. The University comes in top ranking colleges, and the quality of education & campus life are good here. One thing I'll recommend to any student who is planning to study here is before arriving, you just learn their native language at least A2 level, it'll be a huge plus point for you. About the scholarship, I didn't find it more beneficial for me, than this campus-university. But the education quality is very digitalised in Skema- Sophia Campus. This area comes in the southern part of France. Here are many beautiful things like arts & museum, zoo park and a helpful culture. About transportation, here you'll find buses and trains, which connect from city to city. Bus services exist here in a modern way and are very helpful for international students and other people.

Not value for money but the course and faculty members are good.
Tips: There has been a huge transformation since I joined and got to know more and more diverse group work etc.
I was not offered any scholarship nor I was offered any allowance.
The satisfaction is neutral I was not impressed or satisfied nor was I upset.
Likes (Quality of faculty): It is easy to approach the faculty members. They made the most effort to make us feel more welcomed and we were very impressed.
The methodology was different and good.
Highly diverse campus even though there were many Indians too, many other country students were also there.
Dislikes (Value for money): The college is in no way value for money as it's too expensive. The courses might be good but not effective. I was expecting more and more but it was not as I thought it would be. The fees was too high compared to other colleges which offered similar courses for a lesser price with the same options.

A Top Pre-experience Finance Program
Tips: Living and studying in Paris is an exquisite experience, and changes your outlook greatly. You get to mingle with people from diverse backgrounds and be comfortable with all the hardships a student life brings.
There are multiple scholarships to avail, such as the Eiffel scholarship, plus your school might have scholarships for its students.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty of my programme was absolutely top-notch. These are people with PHDs, as well as long years of practical work experience in the most celebrated, big names of the financial industry. There is a lot to learn from them, in terms of both academics and industry experience.
Dislikes (Part time work): I was part of the 1 year M.Sc. Financial Markets and Investment programme. This is one the most elite finance programs in Europe, and while you are pursuing it, you will hardly get any time for part time jobs. Taking up a part-time job will have severe consequences on your studies, as the course is quite intensive, with 2-3, 3-hour classes on most days, apart from assignments, and exams. You would most certainly have other household chores as well, leaving you with little time. Anyway, finding a part-time job in Paris is not easy, especially if you don't speak French.

Highly professional and career oriented.
Tips: Well, it's important to have the basic French language understanding in order to have smooth running of your day to day activities. Understanding French etiquettes is also important but you can learn that as you start living there. I got a scholarship from Diplomeo of 700 euros. The course was very intense but one of the flagship course that the School had in their offerings. It was more practical which enables us to apply the topics studied in the real world. The country is rich in its culture and I enjoyed every bit of it. From the people, the places and the artistic living, the etiquettes, it was all worth it !

Good college. Academically oriented.
Tips: You should have a good command of French language for securing your internship or job. Professors are good and are really willing to teach you even beyond the books and classroom. There is no cultural shift. And I did not get any scholarship.
University is good, but sometimes it becomes difficult for international students to secure a job without knowing French.
Likes (Safety): Safety is good in Lille. Nobody is going to bother you in terms of safety. It's a very safe place to stay for education and otherwise. People are really helpful and good and nobody is bothered about what you are doing. You will find a lot of other students as well in the city.
Dislikes (Internships): You have to find the internships on your own. The school is only going to guide you and there is no surety that you will have an internship on completion. You will have to manage on your own for an internship and in France it's difficult if you are not able to speak French.

Academics is fine, but you have to look out for yourself regarding your job and your future life.
Tips: Students planning to come here should learn French. You can follow any culture here, with no issues. I got no scholarship. Teaching is okay, but there are less practical aspects and knowledge plus finding a job is difficult without French. The teaching sometimes feels that there is only bookish knowledge.
Likes (Safety): Lille is a very good city to live and roam around. There are no safety concerns if you are well behaved. There is no gender discrimination or anything, everybody on the campus speaks English. The people in the city are also helpful and will not bother you much.
Dislikes (Part time work): As an international student, if you don't know French, it's difficult to find a part-time job. Very difficult to manage with the course, as the class timings are not fixed. They change it very frequently, so it's difficult to manage plus it would be really hectic. The payout will be something around 12 Euros/hour.

Felt ill-equipped in the job market. Made great friends though.
Tips: You'll have fun, but regular strikes and the tense political climate do make your future tenuous. And if you manage to even get interviews, be prepared to be seriously low balled. The government has made it hard for even well meaning companies to sponsor international talent. Your money can be better spent if you wish to plan your future abroad.
Likes (Indian Food): Absolutely love London's food scene. There are many Indian restaurants for when you feel homesick. I prefer cooking but if I'm in the mood for eating out there are a million options. It can get super expensive though so you must learn how to meal prep.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Terrible job market and anti immigration policies. You definitely don't get your money's worth in terms of long term prospects. They do not prepare you for the job market, imbibe very half baked skills. The money we pay is mainly to sustain the bankrupt universities, not for quality education.

Public transport in London is absolutely amazing.
Tips: Transitioning after coming here was really easy. It's very easy to meet new people and make new friends as everyone here so social and the university is very encouraging of people from different backgrounds and courses socializing and will even host a lot of events just for that. I got a scholarship of 4000 through the university website. Extremely satisfied with my university, course, faculty and the UK. It's been an amazing experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport in London is absolutely amazing and the most convenient. Bus fare is fairly cheap and affordable and you can get anywhere by spending just 1.75 per trip. Train travel is a bit more on the expensive side but really fast if you want to get somewhere far.
Dislikes (Internships): There aren't many internships that Goldsmiths offers in my field of study, but they do have a lot of opportunities in Fine Arts as it's mainly an art university. Their CareerSPACE portals are really helpful for finding paid or volunteering opportunities.

This place changes the way you see the world.
Tips: The university is very liberal. Everyone finds their space here. Though I’ve lived and worked abroad before, it left me feeling more culturally aware, more opinionated and confident in my thoughts. It connected me deeply to my art. Besides that, London is a fabulous city. Lots of things to do, so much to explore and everyone finds their area of interest.
Likes (Student Life): There are lots of clubs and events for students to mingle with. The campus is huge and very student friendly. The events organised by the student clubs are also great. Lots of opportunities to network and meet new people often. Though a lot of these activities are for Bachelors courses. Masters students usually have so much to do that there’s little time to spend on the campus.
Dislikes (Internships): Unless you have good experience, this course won’t prepare you to find good opportunities. There will be free internships and full support to find those from the university but paid ones are hard to find. There are good networking opportunities though.

Be open minded before joining Goldsmiths.
Tips: To have an open mind to everything, to be able understand way beyond just what is happening around you. I got scholarships too. I’m very satisfied.
It was a game changing experience for me.
Every time I think of Goldsmiths, I think of the personality differences I had after studying there. I opened up to the core of myself, to be able to receive and then to be able to build.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): It’s closer to the London Bridge and the central area. Events like welcoming events in the first week of your uni and then every festival you can celebrate your own way. Chinese New Year, Christmas. All types of communities are on campus. You need to choose what you resonate with.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): They’re very different from other professors. At Goldsmiths nothing for right or wrong. They were open to understanding your pov. Teachings were more experiential and that made it easier and fun plus very useful. The faculty is very diverse. But you’ll find less Asians as professors, more all over the world maybe now things have changed.

Good learning environment and helpful faculty.
Tips: I was an introvert to say the least. This university gave me the wings to take off, express myself and my views creatively and am glad to say that I'm a changed person altogether than how I was when I joined in 2019. I'd applied through clearing, hence didn't avail any scholarships, but people do get options of it, quite decent ones.
Likes (Quality of faculty): In my time at Goldsmiths, I never had to worry about the tutors at all. Each of them possesses the best knowledge from reputed institutes that they've graduated from, and the way they impart knowledge, as well as the ticks and methods they use, is quite commendable. Since I studied design, there would be interesting lectures and workshops for us to understand things. I would any day go back and get back to being taught by them. We had British tutors in our course, but some were Asian, South African, and of Indian descent.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Around Goldsmiths University of London, New Cross, Indian food is available but mediocre as you would find in central London or towards Wembley. They have takeaway options and many restaurants are 15-20 minutes away by public transport. I preferred cooking myself to have fresh food and dietary restrictions being a Jain. But, I would also eat out once in a while, not always Indian. But, apart from Indian food, there are many other restaurants and takeaways that are quite amazing - multiple cuisines are available in the area - Italian, Lebanese, Turkish, Pan Asian, and of good quality. There are many amazing cafes too.

Tips: People here are politically and socially woke, and very welcoming.
Extremely liberal and friendly environment.
A great balance between social and academic lives.
Sensitive to the needs and expectations of the students such as neurodivergence, mental healthcare, gender and orientation, accessibilities.
Very satisfied.
Likes (Public transportation): There's an overground station right across the campus.
Two bus stops a few hundred metres apart from each other, both close to the university premises.
A DLR station within a 15-minute radius.
Extremely accessible with several pubs and cafes around.
