M.S in Applied Computer Science - Batch of 2025
4.8
Exploring opportunities.
Tips: Students can be prepared for a potential cultural shift especially if they are coming from a different country or region. It's essential to be open-minded and adaptable to new experiences, cultures and perspectives.
Likes (Safety): I rated safety at Southeast Missouri state university with a 5. Apart from campus security the universe likely provides resources such as emergency call boxes, well-lit pathways and safety escorts to ensure students' safety on campus with many programs.
Dislikes (Part time work): Not many on-campus part-time jobs are available. While there are some opportunities available on campus, the variety and number of positions may be limited. Balancing part-time with academics can be challenging for some students due to scheduling conflicts.

Good place to study and stay
Tips: Before coming here I would suggest getting to know about coursework and I will also suggest doing some projects in university. The university provides $1000 scholarship per year. I recommend this university for middle-class people. Also, I will strongly recommend students to focus on course work.

My college is very friendly and liberal. The staff are friendly. Would recommend people.
Tips: I did not personally experience any cultural shift. But I have seen people transition a lot after coming to US in general. I Got international student scholarship, every international student gets one. It gets added to your student account, 1000$ each semester. I am satisfied with my overall experience.
Likes (Safety): The campus area is safer, if you choose to live nearby it is safe, as there are police almost all the time. The facilities on campus are good too. I personally do not have any bad experiences in the city as I lived for only 3 months in the beginning and then shifted to another place.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is no Indian restaurants available in the locality. So there is no option for Indian food. Although there is a place like 2hrs from there which is called St. louis. There you can find plenty of Indian food and restaurants. I prefer cooking for myself.

MBBS (General Medicine) - Batch of 2030
Offered by Petrozavodsk State University
4.9
The university is very welcoming and the faculty and staffs are very friendly.
Tips: It was very easy to shift to this country and start my studies. The college support staff is great and is doing everything they can to make sure I don't have any problems. The international department is providing every possible support for my medical insurance, visa extension, medical checkup, biometrics, etc. Every professor at this college is highly educated and has been awarded by the Russian Government. They are dedicated to providing you with knowledge and are very good at explaining things. They also provide PDFs that you can read in the dormitory. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I didn't like the food at this college. None of the dishes were spicy and most of the food was non-vegetarian. There were a few vegetarian options but they weren't spicy like Indian food. There were lots of sweet dishes, like doughnuts, garlic bread, chocolates and biscuits. Some of the Russian food items were good, but I didn't like the food.

Offered by Petrozavodsk State University
3.7
Petrozavodsk State University is really one of a kind with great faculty.
Tips: After coming here I learned the most important thing is discipline which is very much necessary in future life. I have experienced a little bit of a cultural shift but it hasn't been too difficult to adjust. I prefer to cook my own food as it is healthier and fits my budget. For dining out, I would choose shwarma which is both healthy and tasty. It is also inexpensive at around 150 to 250 rubles. There are also many fast food options available. Russia is a beautiful country and I am glad I am here.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are highly qualified and their teaching methods are excellent. Every week we have to take a test on the subject we are studying and we have to pass it to move on to the next topic. The tests are graded on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest score. If we score a 5 we are considered to have done excellent work if we score a 4 we are considered to have done good work if we score a 3 we are considered to have done average work and if we score a 2 or below we are considered to have failed and must retake the test.
