A Supportive Learning Experience at TU Dublin – Tallaght
Tips: If you're heading to the Tallaght campus, the absolute biggest shock is how much everything relies on you driving your own studies. The lecturers are actually super sound and approachable if you catch them after class, but they aren't going to chase you down for assignments—you either stay on top of the independent coursework or you drop behind fast.
The campus itself has solid facilities, and there's a decent buzz around the clubs and societies if you actually bother to show up and get involved. Honestly, I'm really glad I chose TU Dublin. Ireland is an incredibly safe, welcoming place to live, and the quality of the modules is top-tier. Just a heads-up for anyone moving here: start hunting for student accommodation the exact second you get your offer. The Dublin housing market is an absolute nightmare right now, so sorting your place to stay early is way more important than worrying about your books.

TUD - best decision ever
Tips: I lived abroad from my childhood, so I did not face any cultural shift. There are no scholarships at TUD, so you can try applying for government scholarships. I am very satisfied with my university, as it's the best in the fields of engineering, science, and technology.
Likes (Safety): I haven't faced any issues. Make friends with everybody. Don't hesitate to talk to anyone there. Being easygoing with everyone in Dublin will help you more than facing issues. Avoiding stereotypes about racism can help you connect with a lot of people.
Dislikes (Internships): Apply for internships from the start and graduation roles the year before. Get support from the groups in the university. Applying from the start is a wise decision, and could emails on LinkedIn help? If you don't apply from the beginning, you don't get it. Make sure to use the Irish format for the CV and add tools and skills you know to the CV.

A Balanced College Experience with Strong Faculty Support
Tips: If you're planning on coming here, just be ready to actually put the work in from day one because juggling the classes requires some serious time management. Settling in wasn't too bad for me though the culture shock was definitely real at first when it came to hanging out with people from completely different backgrounds but honestly it helped me grow a lot and learn to adapt.
The learning setup is decent, but nobody is going to hand you anything on a silver platter; you really have to go out of your way to find internships or join clubs. I didn't get any scholarships myself, but I know they have a few financial aid and merit options up for grabs if you qualify. Looking back, I'm pretty happy with my choice. The professors actually support you, the campus facilities are solid, and there’s plenty of room to grow both personally and academically.
Likes (Quality of faculty): I gave the faculty a 5 because honestly, the professors here are top-tier. They really know their stuff, but more importantly, they’re just super easy to talk to. You can easily catch them after class or drop by to sort out any doubts, which makes a massive difference when you're trying to actually grasp the material.
The way they teach is really solid, too. It’s not just boring lectures—they bring in real-world examples and case studies that keep things interesting, and they actually get everyone talking instead of just talking at us. Plus, the department has a really good mix of people. You’ve got professors who spent years in the industry mixed with academics from all sorts of different backgrounds, which brings a ton of fresh perspectives into the classroom.
Dislikes (Part time work): I gave part-time work a 3 mostly because finding a job on campus is a total lottery. There just aren’t enough openings to go around, and even if you try to get something basic like a library gig or desk work, the competition is insane. You can find off-campus stuff like retail, internships, or freelancing, but trying to juggle that with classes is exhausting, especially with commuting and strict shifts. The uni workload is already so heavy that it’s hard to commit to regular hours anyway. Plus the pay is pretty average and usually just 5,000 to 10,000 a month which honestly doesn't feel worth it when you factor in all the time and effort you’re putting in.

Hard to find part-time jobs.
Tips: When you join college Especially for the Masters student, get your ID card and student enrollment form sorted as soon as possible so that u get an IRP. Apply as soon as possible and do not delay. The university also has 2 football fields and a very good library where you can access books. And for the students coming from India keep a atleast a 3 to 4 months expenses at least.
Likes (Student Life): In college student life is good and the student council and staff are supportive. We can join many clubs and can stand-up for the student council selection and many other activities are done for the students wellbeing. Not to forget It also has a gym facility and 2 big football fields.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time is a bit challenging as our Stamp 2 visa says only 20 hours a week during college. Whereas the part time sometimes varies from 25 to 30 hours mandatory in a few companies. Part-time work is challenging because after long shifts students feel tired, have less time to study, and struggle to manage classes, assignments, and personal life at the same time.

Career oriented and fun loving.
Tips: Have some relevant work experience. If you're a fresher it's really tough for you to find a job. The university doesn't matter so do a lot of networking which is important than the university. I got a scholarship from the university and I got it while applying to the university. I'm satisfied with the university as I just needed a reason to enter the country so the university doesn't matter a lot to me.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is awesome in Ireland and you can also connect with lots of international students and gain a lot of exposure. Many groups and clubs are being organised by the college but I don't have time to be a part of them as I was also doing part time job and was also focusing on my course.
Dislikes (Internships): The university provides us with some graduate programme groups letting us know about the opening but if you have skills and work experience you can get an internship but if you are a fresher, it's really hard to get an internship. I got the internship has I had some relevant work experience.

Academic-oriented college with highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: This is an academic-oriented college. Students have to focus more on academics rather than a part-time job. We have a lot of assignments and presentations as well. The college is more strict towards studies, and they keep students engaged in studies with a lot of assignments. There are very few part-time jobs available on campus. It's a little tough managing part-time jobs and academics. The average payout is 13.70 in Dublin. If students want to really study, they should opt for TUD, which is a prestigious university with the best in their profession teachers. Overall, TUD is a top-notch college academically.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a good number of Indian restaurants in Dublin, including Southern Spices and BBQ Tonight, which are two of the best ones. I personally prefer to cook my own food, though, because it's a little too expensive to eat at restaurants all the time. I would recommend cooking your own food if you're on a budget or just don't want to spend a ton on restaurant food.

Tips: TU Dublin has a strong focus on practical learning and industry connections. The campus is spread out, so getting familiar with all locations early on is helpful. Dublin can be expensive, so budgeting and financial planning are important. Academic expectations are high, so be prepared for independent learning. TUD does not provide any scholarships for students as far as I know. Dublin is a welcoming city, but learning to navigate its busy pace and social dynamics might take time. TU Dublin offers a good academic environment with diverse programs, but it can be demanding. The country is rich in culture and history, and Dublin is a vibrant city, but the cost of living can be a downside.
Likes (Safety): TU Dublin has strong campus security with 24/7 monitoring and emergency contact points that are spread across the campus. Students feel safe on campus because of continuous security monitoring. Sometimes it's a bit unsafe to go alone in less crowded areas, especially during nights.
Dislikes (Part time work): TUD has very limited on-campus part-time opportunities and is highly competitive because of the number of students enrolled in the university every year. There are few options off-campus in retail but it's difficult to balance that with the academics. The average payout is 12.7 per hour.

This place requires hard work.
Tips: Students need to be very proactive. The students will be pressured to work very hard. No scholarships are being provided unless you are an excellent student. I am quite satisfied with my university as I don't mind working hard.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The professors here in the university are good but not very well versed in teaching. The way they teach is they will display a PowerPoint presentation of the topic and then deliver a lecture about it. That is the form of teaching that we experience here.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post study job opportunities are not very widely available. It is easier to get a job if you have experience. But if you lack experience it is harder to land a job. The issue of visas also comes into the picture. The recruiter mostly prefers people with 1g visa.

Great university and great faculties
Tips: It’s a great university for technical courses, being a technological university, so choose it for those courses. I would suggest you check the critical skills list and check out which courses will help you get into the critical skill jobs, which will help you maximize your investment.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The critical skills employment permit is a great way to easily get a permanent immigrant or even naturalization status. It takes only 2 years on CSEP to get permanent resident status and after just 5 years you can apply for naturalization too, which is a great perk.
Dislikes (Safety): The city has a drug addiction problem, there are junkies everywhere in the city, and if not junkies you’ll face alcoholics who’ll harass you for money. Although if you are street smart, these issues won’t bother you much and you can pretty much enjoy your life here.

Worth the course and worth the risk.
Tips: College is really excellent for those who want to study and excel in academics. Plenty of options for cocurricular activities. Grad events and programs are also good. Best to engage with different groups of people from various cultures and backgrounds.
Likes (Internships): Internships are not really required, you can just finish your thesis. But they are worth it if you wanna improve your portfolio and resume. Certifications do help as an add on. Guidance is maximum. The professors are the best and they are always helpful and knowledgeable
Dislikes (Safety): Dublin is not really safe for people anymore. We see a lot of riots theft, and robberies everyday. Can’t buy a two wheeler. Cars are robbed. Stabbing in Talbot Street. Racism in the corner. It is manageable for big, fearless guys like me. But I see a lot of innocent students living in fear, which is really bad.

A very good experience in France
Tips: One has to be ready to grasp the language fast and to be patient, as the paperwork sometimes is slow. There will be cultural shock and homesickness for sure, but one has to know how to cope up with that. It will be easy with a proper mindset for sure.
Likes (Part time work): I myself work part-time, and it's very efficient and easy. I have enough time to work and study. My work does not distract or disturb me from studying, which is my main and most important goal. I am glad that I can manage everything pretty well. The wages are also justified.
Dislikes (Value for money): Tuition fees are definitely justified; however, there can be a lot of things added for student life that will make the journey better. Building new associations in order to respect every student's culture will be great. Apart from that, the feeling is justified, as the professors are amazing.

Tips: As an Indian student, it’s honestly a bit of a challenge adjusting to French culture at first. It takes some getting used to things like randomly greeting strangers on the street or constantly saying thank you for every little thing.
When it comes to the financial side, the college does offer scholarships, including an early bird discount if you get your application in on time. Plus, the campus itself is really nice—the courses are solid, and you get to hang out with a huge crowd of international students from all over.
Likes (Safety): You get full health insurance coverage, and the campus has its own proper security team that keeps an eye on things. The city is honestly wonderful to explore, and getting to experience a whole new culture has been great. Sure, you run into challenges here and there, but you just learn to deal with them as they come. Overall, it’s a really safe city with solid security personnel who actually do their jobs well.
Dislikes (Internships): I haven't actually gotten it yet, but yeah, the college has its own portal and an alumni network. They do job teasers and campus job fairs, and the professors always talk about what openings are out there. There are definitely internships available, but the language barrier is the real hurdle. If you know the language, you can actually connect with people and get your foot in the door—otherwise, it’s a total uphill battle to find anything.

Tips: Students need to know that if they know how to speak French, they will be much better off in this country. If they speak French, they'll find jobs, internships, and everything they need. French people prefer people who can speak their language, and of course, they'll want to interact with those people and indulge in their culture and food.
Likes (Part time work): I eventually ended up finding a good part-time job. I walked into a shop, and they just asked me if I could join right now at that particular time and spot. So, it depends on luck as well, but eventually, those who are looking for work will find a way to work things out.
Dislikes (Indian Food): We do have problems with the salt and spices, but it's not like we can't find what we need. We have issues with the same thing in India. As an Indian, I love Indian spices, and the food quality over here is quite original and good. It's not that it is mixed or you'll have to look for something original. We have people in India who don't sell good quality food products, but here you can find all sorts of products, like if you want to go for even a different range of the same in different ranges. There are choices and a price difference, but they are of perfect quality, and I can bet that your health will improve eventually.

Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is affordable and functional most of the time. It's convenient and well-connected. An annual pass helps save a lot. The applications give a real-time update on routes and modes of transport. Trams and buses are the 2 modes of transport in Bordeaux, while Paris has a great metro network.
Dislikes (Part time work): The school has very minimum on-campus part-time jobs. It's not about the payout, there are no jobs to begin with. However, you can manage work and academics, but you will get very little time for yourself; otherwise, it's manageable. The payout is legal, which is around 11 euros.

Likes (Quality of faculty): There is always scope for improvement but I must say that Kedge has really good faculty. All of them are highly educated and experienced. They are very professional with great knowledge about the industry, and they keep themselves updated on industry trends.
Dislikes (Value for money): When you're out of college and search for a job, no one sees that you're from Kedge. They just look for experience. For international students, it's even tougher to get a job in France. There's a visa and language barrier. So, as of Kedge, they won't help you in getting companies to campus.

Tips: Students should know that life is going to be tough, everything is going to make no sense, and you've got to learn a lot of things—specifically the French language. It's easy to get a scholarship, though. I got the Edge Scholarship, and that was 2500 euros. Student life is better here because there are a lot of government schemes to help you save money, plus there are a lot of government benefits you can take advantage of. The campus also offers student benefits, and there are lots of association committees that help us grow. As far as studies, I wasn't very satisfied my first year, but it got much better after that, so I'm happy now.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty has strong theoretical knowledge but lacks practical insights and engagement. Some members are less responsive. Accessibility varies, some professors are open and supportive, while others maintain some distance and make it harder to seek help. Case studies and role plays are used to connect theory with practice, but these methods are not used consistently.

Tips: Students should find out what they are looking for in a university, and does this Master's in Management Program meet their criteria, or is an M.Sc. a better fit for them. Bordeaux is safe and quiet. As a student, you shouldn’t have to worry too much about crime here. The city is navigable. Even late at night, public transport is functional around 1 am. There isn’t much to do in the city. The student clubs are mostly not interesting either. College is okay. Campus life is nonexistent. Also, the intermingling between different groups of people is less. Most people stay amongst themselves or their nationalities. The Master's in Management program at this university has been a disappointment overall, despite costing so much. If you must go here, pick an M.Sc. instead. It's the better choice.

It is very difficult to find part-time work in Bordeaux, due to the language barrier.
Tips: There was a lot of international experience. In my class, around 40 nationalities of students were there. There were many cultural shifts, but nothing that you cannot handle. I didn't get any scholarship. The city is well-connected with public transport. You can reach anywhere in the city by public transport, bus or tram. Public transport is cheap for students if you buy an annual pass. You can get an annual pass for 20 euros per month and 35 euros if you take a monthly pass. However, I'm not satisfied with my university. I have just completed my first year. It was too easy for the master's level. Also, I still don't understand the concept that I am studying with Bachelor's students from the exchange program in my course, MIM.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is very difficult to find part-time work in Bordeaux, due to the language barrier. Most jobs available to international students are illegal or pay little. The best jobs available are typically at Indian restaurants. However, the majority of part-time jobs on campus are only available to students who speak French, and there are only a limited number of these available.

Supportive faculty with good opportunities to learn.
Tips: The French language is important to survive in the city. Even for the jobs and internships. At university, it is not mandatory but always helpful when making local friends. Part-time opportunities are there, but the schedule sometimes does not the allow it. We have a big campus that is always occupied with many festivals, events, and activities. Feel free to participate in it.

Finding a job or internship is difficult for international students.
Tips: Edge Business School is a good college with staff who have work experience. Although being an international student is a bit of a disadvantage in getting the desired job and internship opportunities, because companies want their employees to know French. College will not be so useful in finding the opportunity; it's all about your connections, network, and your search.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses are available every 5 minutes. At the bus stops, you can find the scanner of the bus route, which will show the live timings, or you can use the app to know the details. You will be given prior notification if the route changes due to any football match happening in the city. In Marseille, there are 3 main modes of transportation: Bus, Metro, and Tram. Students below the age of 25 can get a yearly Metro card (RTM) for around 250 euros. If you are over 25, you need to pay 400 euros for the year. Or if you want, it will cost 400 euros per year. However, you can recharge the card monthly for 50 euros.
Dislikes (Safety): The second-largest seaside city in France is Marseille, hence it attracts all the refugees and immigrants from the neighbouring countries. Although found in only certain areas, it is advised not to go to those places after sunset. There are police everywhere in those areas who are friendly and will help if required. Since Marseille has lots of universities, you will find students from all around the world, and there is always something happening on campus or in the city, which gives cultural exposure.

Tips: The transition is difficult because things are slower here than in India, and everything must be done by oneself. Even the transportation is slow. The university is decent and reputable, which is good. Knowing the French language is a big help.
Likes (Safety): The safety at this school is decent, but there are some areas that you might want to avoid. The city has a problem with streetlights that don't work in some areas, leaving them pitch black and open for dangerous activity and conditions.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is difficult to find part-time because of language barriers and no leads. That is a problem faced by several students I know including myself. The lack of connections is no help either. It is best to be conversational in the language when you come here for studies.

Tips and Tricks to Enjoy your Student Life.
Tips: The first thing is to start learning the language of the country you are going. That is very important, it makes life much easier. Scholarship opportunities were very less. I am satisfied with my university because it is quite good for marketing. It helped me in getting an internship and a post-study job.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty was very good and approachable. They explained every concept with real-life examples so that we can apply it in the real world. The focus of the courses was to prepare us for the industry. The teachers were from different countries with experience of working for different industries all over the world.
Dislikes (Part time work): There were less opportunity for any part time jobs if you didn't speak the language of the country, same goes for France. If you get a part-time job then I would say it is quite manageable. The coursework is not that heavy. You can expect around 10 euros per hour pay, and a maximum of 20 hours per week is allowed.

Good college, but learn some French before coming.
Tips: Before joining any college in France, make sure you learn at least basic conversational French. You should be able to at least hold a conversation for five minutes. It will be very difficult to socialise and get a student job without it. Apart from that, there are no major challenges. There are lots of scholarships available; you just have to start searching six months before joining any college. Internships are limited and hard to find, and the university doesn't help with finding any or offering you one. Unique classroom experience with great faculty.
Tips: If you're planning to study abroad be aware that the university may not help you find an internship. You'll need to search for an internship yourself. So be prepared to do your own searching and make sure you have some work experience in the field where you plan to work. While universities offer career fairs, they may not be very helpful. Besides, the faculty is approachable so you can ask them anything.
