Good for exposure and growth.
Tips: I have had a mostly positive experience at university and it has taught me to become more self reliant and capable than before. The academic culture is more straightforward and optional reading isn't exactly optional. Scholarships can also be awarded as the academic year progresses. Part time jobs on campus are limited and very sought after so you'll be lucky to get one.

Though competitive in academics, there are many resources to help students along the way.
Tips: Quite the academically inclined college. Academics are rigorous, but the quality of education is also great! Resources are available to students to help throughout education such as health and counselling services, recreational services, women's equity centre, etc.
Likes (Public transportation): Free bus is very helpful. Many free resources are invested in by the student union. These resources, including free busing for students, health insurance, free counselling services, allow students to have the resources they need in order to do well.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): In Biology, an undergraduate degree is often insufficient in the job hunt. Post-grad jobs after a Biology undergraduate degree can be very competitive due to this. Due to the competitiveness, it can be overwhelming for students to try and find jobs after graduation.

Tips: Great place to step out of your comfort zone and grow as a person. Meaningful growth and learning.
Tips: The cultural shift was quite drastic, but still did not feel too unfamiliar. I enjoyed going to classes and learning new things, but the experience was not anything like what I expected. It wasn't as easy to be socially active and find your kind of people.
University was quite academically rigorous, which didn't leave me with a lot of time to focus on other things. The course was something I thoroughly enjoyed, but I still wanted more guidance to tap into all that the course had to offer. The country was average. Things like the increased prices on rent, transportation and groceries did make it a little difficult. Having the campus centrally located meant not a lot of community engagement within the college.

My study abroad life has been good so far.
Tips: Life in Toronto is full of surprises and activity. There's never much of a dull moment here. Classes are well structured and formulated in a way that they cover all essential aspects of your chosen field and the business programs are particularly renowned. Professors are wise and empathetic. Keep essentials from India especially medicines, as the winters can really trigger sickness if you're not used to it. Most of my meals are cooked and most groceries are available as well. Good experiences.

Tips: Studying here in Toronto has been an interesting experience and challenging in some ways also. Tips: My first impression of this university was realizing how huge it truly is and the class sizes account for the same. In fact, it becomes tricky to get individual attention and participation outside of office hours. The city is really expensive but the university is helpful with financial aid for those who genuinely need assistance. Coursework can become quite intense and you'll have to learn how to make the most out of your university experience. More transparency could make things better.

Tips: So far my experience has been mostly positive as I've liked the culture and the academics the most. There's lot to do on campus especially with regards to hobbies and sports and interests. Tips: University of Toronto has got to be one of the most toughest yet rewarding places to pursue a career in STEM. If you're interested in research, then this place has a lot to offer. Tips: My experience here has been mostly positive and I can see myself transitioning as time goes by. I did a lot of planning before I opted for the MBA programme here and I have not been disappointed. The faculty are experts in their industries and networking events and employee meet ups happen quite regularly. The exposure is helpful although immigration and landing work here is much more challenging than it used to be.

Tips: Toronto is a lot more student friendly and open than I had expected, making it easier to settle in. There's a lot to do both in and out of campus but you'll have to dedicate most of your time to your coursework as the workload is intense. Great for research and labs are well-equipped as well. Living can be on the expensive side but the transport system is great. Super convenient.

Tips: The University of Toronto is a little underrated as compared to other Canadian universities but the academics here are quite advanced. The faculty is extremely well-qualified and leading in their respective fields.
Tips: There is definitely a lot of exposure to different cultures, and a lot of freedom given to students. Students at the University of Toronto Mississauga are in charge of their own studies, which I think was probably the biggest cultural change. Unlike in school, you are responsible for your own progress, and nobody will follow up with you. You take charge of your education and assignments. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the experience. While the workload can be tough, the assignments help us gain a better understanding of the topic and subject. The University of Toronto has definitely helped shape my personality and made me more independent.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is extremely well-qualified and leading in their respective fields. Professors are increasingly helpful and kind, especially during office hours, and will patiently explain concepts until fully understood. Some professors go out of their way to accommodate students. Teaching assistants are also extremely helpful. The teaching methodology is mainly research-centric, with many assignments involving research and project work, which aids in better understanding. The campus's diversity is reflected in the teaching faculty, with professors of various nationalities.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The campus is well-connected to the rest of the city, being a major bus stop in Mississauga with nearly all buses passing through. While bus connectivity is excellent, occasional delays do occur, though rarely. I've rated it four stars because, although there's good bus service, the train connectivity throughout the city isn't as strong, and you'll primarily rely on buses.

Pretty good place and friendly people.
Tips: The cultural shift here is real and expected, but not as bad as one would anticipate. Once you spend some time on campus, you will find yourself immersed in the city life and your classes to the point you'll have a pretty sorted routine. There are a bunch of mixers held downtown, so always stay a step ahead and network like a pro. Try to be active during classes and discussions, and ask as many questions and doubts you have. The faculty really understands and loves clarifying doubts.

Tips: I have seen lots of changes in myself after coming here and participation is seen as a necessity not just optional. There is a strong Indian community here which gives me a sense of familiarity and there are also various part time jobs you can try out such as in fast food restaurants or grocery stores. They're relatively open to hiring students. I didn't get any scholarships but I would say I am satisfied and happy here.

The city is quite expensive to live in for a student.
Tips: The city is bustling but welcoming. It's also a very expensive place to study, but luckily, I don't have to pay for my accommodations because I live with relatives. It's a great arrangement, and they're extremely kind. The campus is massive, so you will want to bring water with you so you don't dehydrate. The classes tend to be case-driven. So far, I'm very pleased with my choice of university.

Tips: The programme I am in is beyond challenging. You'll need to grind harder than you're prepared for to make it through. It’s a lot of work, but I believe it's worth it. There are tons of job opportunities in the Toronto STEM job market, so none of your hard work will go to waste, and the good thing is that there’s a huge market for STEM in Toronto, so no skill of yours will ever be wasted. There will be sleepless nights because of endless assignments and deadlines, but the market for your skills here is large, so it will ultimately be worth it.

The university has good academics and a vibrant student life.
Tips: Students should know about the course completely, like what the things are going to be covered, as it will help them to understand the modules easily, and they can arrange their timetable accordingly. Regarding Scholarship, I haven't availed any scholarship, so there was no allowance. The quality of the faculty was good. The professors focused more on critical thinking. They helped us during assignments and were accessible and approachable. They were happy to explain things even if we asked multiple times. In addition to this, the professors used presentation slides and real life examples. I spend most of my day doing assignments and attending lectures. The college organizes many events, cultural, community, and sports events, helping students from different nationalities come together. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.

Downtown Excellence in the heart of Montreal.
Tips: I am satisfied with my university, Concordia University. It has a large, modern infrastructure, and the professors are friendly. I love the cultural diversity of Montreal, but my course is quite challenging. I am not sure about the country as a whole, because I have not had the opportunity to travel to other provinces. So far, I like Montreal. If you are considering Concordia University, be aware that French is important, and you should be open to learning a new language. The Quebec government provides free French language classes. Also, scholarships are available for undergraduate students, but scholarships for graduate students are only available to Canadian citizens.
Likes (Public transportation): You have to buy and recharge your STM card i.e., opus card for students, which costs around $60/month. With this card, you can travel on all local buses and the metro. It's easy and useful, and one card is enough to travel anywhere in Montreal. It's very convenient.
Dislikes (Part time work): As a fresher, I found it difficult to get a part-time job, especially at the front desk, because I didn't know French well enough. In this province, most people speak French, and you have to be bilingual knowing French and English to get a job. I had to learn French at an intermediate level before I could get a job.

Great and diverse opportunity for everyone.
Tips: Students should be prepared to work hard at Concordia University. International students might find some courses a bit tough. Don't be shy about asking basic questions; everyone here is quite helpful. I got my doctoral stipend, which includes TA, RA, and a scholarship and that's around 25K Dollars/year. Although the economic situation in the country is falling from what it was 5 years ago.
Likes (Post study jobs): Every graduate I know got a high-paying job in Canada or abroad. In the teaching field, there are many multinational companies that hire freshers, and there are many internship opportunities as well. However, the part-time job market is declining nowadays.
Dislikes (Safety): Due to recent violent anti-Israel protests, there was a fire in an old port and a murder on one of the campuses. The authorities are fast to act but for a peaceful city like Montreal, this is rare. I hope people can voice their concerns peacefully. Also due to the easy availability of drugs and alcohol crimes are rising too.

I feel good in this university. I got 8 months internship also I learned many skills from my field.
Tips: I am fully satisfied with this university. Because I learned many skills in my field. Moreover university provide us free laptop, I-pad, and calculator for 1-2 days. Which is a good thing for international students. Also, I like overall all the facilities provided by the university such as Moodle to get subject details.
Likes (Student Life): I am spending more than 6-7 hours a day in the university. I like to meet my friends and make new connections. People potatoes provide us free food that I like most. GSA are 2 community for students who organise many events for getting jobs, internships, reviewing resumes and many more events.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I will definitely take PR in this country. Here it is not easy to get PR in Quebec. For that reason, I started to learn French language to get province PR. In other provinces we need more points to get PR eg.550 plus. I have work experience in India so it's easy to get PR.

Montreal Insights: Learn French. Overall good student experience.
Tips: Before joining Concordia students should be aware of the language preference in QC. Here French is mandatory. On arriving, I experienced a cultural shift due to the prevalence of French in daily life. I did not secure any scholarship because the scholarship is available only for researchers and Ph.D. candidates.
Likes (Safety): Throughout Canada, Montreal is one of the safest places for immigrants. People are generally polite and friendly. The police force is really good if you know French, they are always patrolling the area near the downtown. This place is ideal if you have the basics of French and if you are willing to learn French.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Montreal, particularly QC, has its challenges for permanent settlement. French proficiency is crucial for obtaining PR and the region has notable issues like inflation, housing crises and high tax labs which can impact one's financial outlook. Consider these factors while you select this particular province for higher education.

Tips to surviving in a French province.
Tips: Quebec is a French speaking province. It would be beneficial from the viewpoint of both a temporary resident and getting a permanent residency to at least learn b1 level French before coming here. However, there are government-affiliated classes here too.
Likes (Part time work): Being a downtown campus there are tons of places offering part-time work and getting around the city by public transport is pretty easy and cheap(only $58 for a monthly pass and it works for the bus and metro) making it easier to look for jobs a bit away from downtown too.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a few Indian restaurants around the neighbourhood since it is a downtown campus. However, among vegetarian options, they offer very few choices. I usually prefer to cook my own meals at home. There are several Indian grocery stores so it is easy to get veggies and masalas.
