BSc Hons in Mathematics and Physics - Batch of 2026
3.8
Welcoming environment and good student life.
Tips: The campus is beautiful with really pretty spots and plenty to do. You should expect late nights and early mornings as the sem ends can get really intense. People are fun and friendly and socialising becomes easy here. It is hard to relocate here as the job prospects are limited yet the expenses keep increasing. Pretty safe as well but it's good to stay cautious.

MSc in Sport Management - Batch of 2025

Vibrant, beautiful and energetic.
Tips: First thing you need to watch out for is the weather and how cold it will be. Best to buy winter wear in the UK because it's a lot more winter friendly. Scholarships are decent at University of Bath and they open portals around March. I received a 6000 scholarship.
Likes (Student Life): The college campus is amazing with access to almost any sport you can think of. It's a beautiful city with very nice people. Also, Batch is extremely scenic, much like the university campus. As for events, there are various societies that will make you feel like home during the festive season.
Dislikes (Part time work): There were very few part time opportunities on campus or through the university. You had to look in the city by yourself for opportunities. But once you do get into life in Batch, opportunities are good in the city because it's just before Christmas time and that's when maximum hiring takes place.

MSc in Sport Management - Batch of 2026

Very beautiful campus and safe.
Tips: I love the city and I feel a little cultural shift as it has a time difference, so there is some lag for 1st week. I got a merit scholarship of 5000. I got this as a feels discount. The course I chose is M.Sc. sports management, and the country is very beautiful.
Likes (Indian Food): There are not a lot of restaurants from my region but it is very costly, not affordable if you are a student and not doing any work or even if you are working it is not affordable. I prefer to cook for myself because it is less expensive and I love cooking.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There are less chances of getting permanent settlement in the UK because it is difficult to find sponsor jobs. If I even get a chance to permanently immigrate to this country, I will not because it is difficult to sustain in this country. But I would love to stay as long as I can.

The placement cell and career fairs bring in some really good companies
Tips: I have seen a lot of people have a sudden transformation here, including myself. The campus is really beautiful, and you will feel at ease here. Classes are overwhelming and the stress is real, so you would do yourself a favour by staying ahead of your coursework and seeking help in the form of office hours and peer groups whenever you're stuck on something. You'll also have to walk a lot on campus. Also, the placements and career fair are essential as they bring in some really good companies.

Truly one of a kind.
Tips: I didn't take too long to get comfortable here as the vibe of this university has always been what I imagine college life to be like. It has friendly people and is safe as we've had late nights without anything too concerning. The libraries are well equipped and joining a study group has really helped me with my lessons.
Dislikes (Value for money): I personally found the university much more expensive than I had imagined and that’s also because the cost of living is really high. It’s hard to stick to a budget and groceries are expensive too. So it’s very important to be prepared and plan accordingly.

The university has a diverse campus and a vibrant student life.
Tips: Bath is not the biggest city as compared to London and others, but it does bring a sense of homeliness. The party scene and nightlife are also not as much as you'd expect, but on the plus side, it helps you prioritise work. Bristol is just 15 minutes away and super happening if it gets too much here. Take classes according to your schedule and credit and stay in touch with a guidance counsellor to avoid mishappenings at the end.

Good learning environment.
Tips: The MBA programme here has helped me connect with a lot of inspiring and like minded people, which has been the best thing Bath has given me so far. The classes are filled with debate and discussion and the professors are open-minded as well. Life here is hectic but calm and my pro tip is to get a grocery membership with your friends, which can really save you some money.

It honestly has been an incredible journey.
Tips: Get to know about various societies you can join to enhance your skills and grow your network. Utilise all the resources the university provides to students. Learn more about the city and its history, and chat with your flatmates before moving in to make the transition smooth. For scholarships, keep checking the website for details.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is highly qualified, and the course itself is highly regarded and recognised. They have in-depth knowledge and industry expertise that they’re willing to share with students, and they are available when needed. Faculty members also hold office hours so students can meet with them in person for extra guidance.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus jobs such as bartending, food services, and library are available. Students who have proper time management skills should find that managing studies while working part-time is achievable. The average payout is currently 12.21 per hour, and you can work up to 20 hours during the semester.

NHS service providers do not sponsor visas.
Tips: There wasn't a cultural shift that I experienced as such on a personal level. I loved staying in the city as the campus was located in a very peaceful and safe place, as compared to the metropolitan city I came from. You can walk alone at 2 am in the night without any fear for your life. Although I did apply for the scholarship, I did not get any but I encourage everyone to apply for scholarships regardless of their chances of getting them. I was very satisfied with the university and my course. The professors are brilliant and helpful and the assignments were great for improving on weak areas. I cannot say much about the country as I didn't get the chance to travel as much as I would have liked.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is incredibly well connected to the rest of the city through buses that run every 15 to 30 minutes. Buses are the main mode of public transportation within the city, but trains connect the city to the rest of the country, too. The bus charges are minimal, starting at 1.5 and going up to 2 for rides within the city.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The NHS does the main hiring for post-study jobs after earning a psychology degree, but most NHS service providers do not sponsor visas. It's mainly private companies that sponsor visas, but finding a job at one might take a few months since most of them aren't eager to hire people with student visas. When you do get a job offer, it usually comes with a starting salary package of roughly 22,000 per year, which is generally a good salary.

The University of Bath has a competitive environment.
Tips: One of my first impressions of this university was how academic the environment is. This is especially evident in the competitiveness of the classes. I was pursuing psychology here as an undergraduate, and I managed to get a job in London after university in the same field. So, I would suggest that being involved both inside and outside the classrooms and attending office hours to clarify doubts is very helpful in the long run.

Tips: Studying here has been a unique experience for me as I have experienced massive transformation, change and experiences in a year than I have in my entire life. On the positive side, there are tons of Indian students and the campus keeps organizing social mixers and activities pretty frequently.

Finding a job is a difficult task.
Tips: It would not be an easy task to leave the country and settle abroad. You have to manage a lot of things from food to accommodation. Be prepared for that and apart from that the market is very difficult here so be ready to find a job as it is a real struggle here.
Likes (Safety): City is quite safe as compared to rest of the UK when it comes to Bath it is quite a small city. Everything is accessible at a reasonable distance. You don't have to struggle for anything. The university has its own application called safezone which helps.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): UK market is going down day by day. Hence finding a job here is quite challenging. In university, they don't help that much in Masters course you have to be mentally strong to find a job here. Salary packages are also quite low as compared to the average salary of 30000 pounds which according to expenses is nothing.

UNIVERSITY OF BATH is a place of heritage and excellence
Tips: University of Bath has a diverse culture, with students from all over the globe, we have an opportunity to learn about other cultures. Bath being a world heritage centre is a beautiful city for students, and has been rated the safest city for international students. Overall I think I made a perfect choice for my higher studies at University of Bath and would recommend it as the best university for higher studies especially in the school of management.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at University of Bath in both School of Management and school of Engineering are well-trained and student-friendly staff. They support students in all aspects like if you are struggling with your assignments or even your personal problems they will guide you.
Dislikes (Part time work): You will have a lot of off campus part time options rather than on campus. Campus has limited part-time options and those slots are filled very fast, so payout would be decided by the type of job we prefer usually in the batch we may get jobs like in restaurants or in supermarkets which will have a payout of around 10-11 per hour.

Internship options are not there but one of the safest city to study.
Tips: Students should properly research their course, and choose the extra modules only after research and not on a whim. Students are better off if they choose to live in the city centre rather than any place else as all the events, fun, and restaurants are in the city centre itself.
Likes (Safety): The city of Batch is often viewed as one of the most secure cities for both visitors and locals in the UK. The crime rate is negligible and the neighbourhood is often engaged in promotions of safety guidelines and other. The city also places a lot of emphasis on their infrastructure and the access to the city's bus service or footpaths around the city is the evidence to it.
Dislikes (Internships): This rating is due to the fact that my batch didn't have the option of taking up internships, we only had dissertation or practice track which is sort of an internship but unpaid and the job is not secured after completing it. The upcoming batch from 2023 onwards will have the option to take up internships which is ultimately unfair for the batch graduating in 2023.

Adventures at University of Bath
Tips: Students coming here should research their course, specifically the referencing style used for assignments and the skill of writing. Besides one should speculate about the job market, be it part time or full time before making up their mind. Get in touch with your course alumni's and ask them all your doubts before proceeding further.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The university has the best faculty for management courses. They would guide all those students willing to score better with the best possible resources. The class discussions and the case studies provided by them would really be a great help when giving interviews for actual jobs.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The careers team of the University puts an exceptional effort to help students find graduate roles. The companies sponsoring visas are however few in number but the team would always reach out to you in case of help. They would provide assistance with CV building and assessment preparation too.

Pretty average, would recommend only for finance.
Tips: Before joining the University of Stirling, I suggest knowing your course and checking for numerous scholarships. The location and amenities of the school are amazing, and the campus is large enough that it has plenty of various activities. I have met people who have turned into family. Unfortunately, there are some issues, such as racism that some staff members have, and they cancel classes for their protests, so I had to self-teach most of the course.
Likes (Student Life): The people and culture here are amazing. I met some absolutely crazy people who are now like family. There's always something happening on the weekends, and the library is great for late-night studying. The South Asian club organises tons of events, which is a great way to meet people from your own country.
Dislikes (Internships): This university is good in terms of its amenities, but it has no placements, gives little training for jobs and CV guidance, has mostly useless courses, and markets these courses to international students to make money. They also don't provide internships for my area of study.

Excellent faculty but fewer part-time jobs.
Tips: The transition after coming here was quite difficult as I was not familiar with the climate. The people were quite good and polite. As of now, everything is going well. Finally, the University is good for sports and the gym at the university is an advantage for us.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at this University are quite good at teaching and are experts in their field of subjects. Moreover, their experiences and knowledge of the subjects make it easy for students to understand the topic. The majority of faculty at this University are Scottish people. More than 95% of staff are from Scotland.
Dislikes (Part time work): The part-time jobs are fewer or I can say difficult to get one as it is a small city. The city doesn't even have the size of Mysore. The population in this city is also very low. Managing a part-time job and university education is quite challenging as we have classes four days a week. The tight timetable is also an issue to the part time job.

An experience of lifetime at the University of Stirling
Tips: The university provides around 4000 pounds scholarship to Indian students to support with the application. It was a wonderful experience being a part of the University and travelling to Scotland. Different culture, yet very accepting and welcoming apart from the sightseeing you can do a lot in Scotland.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty members are approachable and very well learned. You get to learn a lot from them if you keep yourself active. Teaching was a mix of theoretical and practical learning with real-life examples and workshops. Professors are from across the globe thus showing that University of Stirling is a diverse employer.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement depends on individuals and if you get a job of choice. There are many students who prefer to come back to their home country after graduation. And those who prefer to stay either go for sponsorship from the companies or sponsor themselves for at least couple of years (Graduate Route Visa). I preferred to return back to India to be around my people.

Likes (Student Life): The atmosphere here at the university of Stirling is amazing. And all the relevant facilities are available around the campus. Personal tutors are assigned to each and every student so that one can have a buddy available to solve all the problems. The most important sports facilities are amazing here at Stirling.
Dislikes (Value for money): Until you don't have a job in the UK it's expensive to spend Indian money in pounds. Finding part-time jobs is quite difficult in starting but if you keep pushing it and have a clear vision you will get a job for sure. University of Stirling has a beautiful campus with all the facilities for sports and fitness.
Tips: The cultural shifts are quite ok and not a big deal. But the issue is managing the expenses and finding a part time job is really harder. Moreover, the timetable at this university is little stressful. So, it will become harder again to get a part time job and lastly the attendance are important to successfully complete the masters.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All the faculties at the university are well qualified and have experience. Good learning experience as the teachers are good at teaching. Faculties at this university is really helpful in preparation of assignments and they guide you to prepare the assignments and conduct seminars.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting a part time job opportunity in Stirling is difficult and also an on campus opportunity will be extremely difficult. It's a small city or you can say it's a village and the city depends on the university. Managing the part time job and student life is stressful. Even getting a part time job is a luck. It's not a big city to find more part time job opportunities. Working far away and traveling to the workplace is an another hurdle as it's expensive. Can't manage the expenses.
