MA in Anthropology - Batch of 2024
4.1
A diverse, dynamic, and rewarding experience.
Tips: Students should expect rigorous academics, vibrant campus life, and diverse opportunities at UGA. Transitioning involves adapting to a dynamic culture and academic workload. Cultural shifts vary, especially for international students. Scholarships are available based on merit and need. Overall, UGA offers strong academics, resources, and a fulfilling university experience.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The University of Georgia (UGA) has an accessible faculty, innovative teaching methods integrating experiential learning, and a diverse faculty with global academic experience. Small seminars, research opportunities, and interdisciplinary courses foster critical thinking. UGA’s multicultural environment is enriched by international faculty, exchanges, and visiting scholars, providing a global perspective.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Georgia offers diverse food options, but authentic cuisine from some countries may be limited, leading to a moderate rating. The locality has various restaurants, including American diners, Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, and vegan options, with pricing ranging from budget-friendly 10–15 dollars to upscale 25+ dollars. MS in Engineering Science (Materials Science and Engineering) - Batch of 2018
Offered by The University of Mississippi
3.8
An institute par excellence.
Tips: The people are very friendly and helpful, but students are expected to be sincere and work diligently throughout the semesters. I received the Dean's Scholarship after the first semester based on my grades. The monthly stipend was $2,000 USD, and my entire course was free of cost because of the scholarship. Overall, I am very satisfied.
