University of Bolton gives great future.
Tips: Students studying in this university are promised great careers. It has great faculty, amazing campus and alluring post study options for settling down here. Alumni passed from here are engaged in reputed companies which makes it a great investment from educational point of view.
Likes (Post study jobs): Many companies and setups around our university are open to offer part time jobs to students. Students get a fair allowance for the hours given at work and also their travel time is saved. As soon as one settles in the class, part time options can be pursued without much thought.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The Indian food options within the campus are not very great. It has some great options with respect to continental food but Indian food lacks the authentic taste. Top of all, it is very expensive for students' budget as compared to other food choices.

It was a good experience. Living abroad humbles you a lot.
Tips: Please be ready to assimilate with the locals here. Do not stick to groups that only speak your mother tongue. Networking is very important if you want a job. One mistake that I see a lot of students make is trying to seek comfort by sticking to groups that come from the same background.
Likes (Public transportation): Melbourne is very well connected, so you can reach any corner of the city through public transport. You don't need to rely on driving to get around and the CBD (heart of the city) offers free trams too so you save a lot of money traveling if you're in the city.
Dislikes (Value for money): It's not worth spending that much on a course that doesn't offer you any practical experience. In Australia, companies don't really value a master's degree, so getting a job after graduation is not easy. It's decent value for money if your long term plan is to move overseas for good, but it's not easy to get your PR/citizenship here.

Easy going industry experience.
Tips: There is 30% scholarship for international students. Overall satisfied but everything is about industry experience so look for universities that have good placement and internship options rather than University ranking. The country is good, people have more civic sense than in India.
Likes (Internships): There are portals on the website for internships but not a lot of variety. Often they are unrelated to your course. Guidance is available but you have to contact the internships team on campus. Many people do not know that there are employability services.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It's getting more difficult every year to secure residence. I would immigrate permanently if given the chance. It is very important to choose a course and a career that will give you higher chances of residence. At the moment it's not looking good for IT. Nursing, healthcare and manual labour like carpentry have more chances for PR.

Average learning environment with mixed experiences.
Tips: Be prepared for independent learning, time management and self-initiative. There was a cultural shift in teaching style, communication and classroom participation. I received a merit based scholarship during admission. The allowance was applied as a tuition fee for education.
Likes (Safety): The campus and city feel safe but there is still room for improvement. Well-lit campus areas, emergency help points, CCTV, security patrols and public transport connectivity. I have generally had good experiences and feel safe using public transport. Occasionally, late night feels less convenient.
Dislikes (Internships): Limited support and very suitable internship opportunities. Basic information is available but personalised guidance and active support are limited. Some internships are relevant but most are competitive or not closely aligned with my course. Career related support services are available such as resume workshops and general career advice but they are often generic and not specifically focused on securing internships.

Studying and living in Melbourne.
Tips: Swinburne really balances academics with hands-on learning. Most of my classes included real projects and industry connections, which made things extremely practical. I've been pretty happy. Overall, my course has met my expectations. Living in Australia has been a great experience too, and if you're into coffee, you'll definitely love it here.

Swinburne is fine but it is very hard to find an accommodation.
Tips: I received a scholarship for my degree because I scored 93 percent in an Indian high school but it takes time to get one. I am satisfied with the course and with being in Australia. However making friends is difficult because Australian culture is very close and not open to everyone. The availability of accommodation is a problem so make sure to find one as soon as you land.

Decent education but a challenging transition for IT students.
Tips: Transitioning to Australia can be challenging. The cultural environment is quite different, with a more independent and self-directed approach to learning. I got just a 2500 AUD scholarship in 2 years as it is in Professional Computing. I am not satisfied with the course as we have to write a lot of reports in a short period.

It is a warm, friendly and helpful environment.
Tips: There was nothing as a cultural difference. I did avail of scholarships. The allowance was 30% and got it through my previous academic performance. Pretty well satisfied with the country and university. The course is a bit more complicated than expected but with great guidance, it is easy to cope with.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The campus is properly connected to the rest of the city through public transport but the transport system is bad with full of disruptions. Other than that there are many modes of transportation such as trams, buses etc. accessible to the city and the university.

My experience was good. There are lots of opportunities available to grab.
Tips: Students should know that there are no such things as placements here or rather any other Western country college. Cultural and personal challenges exist. Australian Universities overall are decent, however, top Indian, American, and English education is much better. I won't come to an Australian university for an educational experience.
Likes (Post study jobs): As a Master's student, Swinburne provided me with internships and many job opportunities. Every week we would have our program director post jobs on our student portals. So opportunities were always given, it's just a matter of taking them.
So keep a very good relationship with your mentors and anyone you meet in a professional capacity.
Dislikes (Part time work): There is a lot of availability for part-time work however, it is very subjective. Most will tell you and it is true that in Melbourne or anywhere in Australia, you get work through your network and relationships rather than your degree or resume. Part time work is manageable, especially at a master's or PhD level and if you can manage to budget and can tweak your lifestyle then part time work will make you enough money to pay for rent utilities and groceries.
