Fantastic college that outshines most of the popular private universities.
Tips: There is a cultural difference. People coming from India will need time to adjust to Austin and the US. UT offers a scholarship along with your admission letter. You can still mail and apply, but the success rate is very low. I earned a scholarship of 5000 with my admission letter. The best way to get a scholarship is to apply in the first round. I am very satisfied with the university, still adjusting to the country. I would say the course is good, but it's very important to know that it is more analytical than described on the website.
Likes (Public transportation): UT students can use all the public transportation in Austin for free. The bus services are great and are mostly on time. The bus services cover all the major areas of Austin that students would like to visit. Even if you have a guest coming over, the bus pass is also very affordable.
Dislikes (Part time work): This is a 10-month course, and due to this, there is no option for TA/RA/Internship. There are many part-time opportunities, but due to a very tight schedule, student of this course cannot do most of them. The ones we can do are for PTS (Parking and Transportation Services) and Dining. The average pay is $14.

Tips: Initially, studying here can seem intimidating, but the people are warm and helpful. It took me a semester to adjust to my classes and establish a routine. While play is emphasised as much as work, you are expected to do your best in assignments and projects to be taken seriously. I chose this program to gain a better understanding of policy-making and history, and it has not disappointed.

Interesting and diverse.
Tips: Texas is a very unique city offering all aspects of the American life in one place. The cost of living is reasonable compared to other states, but securing on-campus housing is a task. You can skip the orientation; it's not that useful anyway, but make sure your housing is sorted and that you have a functioning account. The international students mixer is where I found my friends.

The public transportation is very well-connected and fast.
Tips: This was a very new experience for me. The modules' structure and time tables were different. The professors were quite chill and helpful. I had a very good balance of school life and social life. I also got to participate in a lot of events and clubs. It was amazing meeting new people and making friends from around the world. The university granted a small scholarship along with the offer letter. It was provided from their end and there was no process or application form to submit. I feel very satisfied and happy with my experience. It was the most fun I've ever had. The campus had a lot of facilities and our course was very interesting. I would recommend getting to experience this student life as it teaches you a lot about the world and about yourself.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is very well-connected and fast. Buses are running every 10 minutes. The bus stops are also usually 1 min apart so that it cuts down the walking time. You can easily reach your desired location. The student passes were also quite affordable. The process has indeed increased but if you are someone that travel everyday, the monthly passes are worth it.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Finding jobs is very difficult. But it also depends on the industry you're applying to. I notice that it was hard for me to get a positive response to my applications as I had no previous work experience. Although there were companies that offered unpaid internships. There are also a lot of paid opportunities that pay well according to the minimum we age and government guidelines. All you need to focus on is researching well and approaching companies.

It’s a mix of lectures and projects, for sure, but the independent side of it is a huge part of the deal, so you’ve got to be pretty disciplined with your time. When I first got here, it was honestly a massive shock—the whole vibe is way more focused on you actually thinking for yourself and just having open chats with the lecturers instead of just listening. It’s also cool being around people from all over, but you’ve definitely got to be proactive about using the career services and stuff if you want to get ahead.

Tips: As I pursued a Master's in Advanced Computer Networks, I can say that Birmingham City University would be a good choice for you to pick. Faculty and student life at this university are top-notch, and the best part is that they have so many activities for international students to interact and make themselves feel comfortable.
Likes (Indian Food): I am from Andhra Pradesh, and I found quite a few decent Indian restaurants, and there are so many Indian stores where you get almost everything you would crave when you are away from home. Most of the indian restaurants are a little expensive than the British restaurants.
Dislikes (Value for money): I personally felt it wasn't really worth the money we put in for a year of study. However, you will definitely get a lot of exposure on how to deal with so many situations that you wouldn't be able to manage if you were with your family. The whole year of study will boost your self-confidence, so I guess there's that.

Tips: BCU is good for taking admission and studying in UK. The University is a multicultural institution where we can make friends from different countries like Japan, China, USA, etc. The faculty is so friendly and studies are stress free. Students should know the skills of doing work on laptop because studies and assessment are done through assignments and most of the Indian students are only familiar with pen and paper.
Likes (Value for money): Birmingham City University offers education that is so helpful for getting a good job in England. They offer support for every aspect of life. I was given £2000 bursary on joining. Students can borrow laptops from library and the staff is friendly. They offer huge work opportunities within the course.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The Graduate route scheme is introduced by the Government which gives two year work visa to the students after course completion. However, after two year work permit, the steps are unclear. Students have to look for companies that may sponsor them for further visa. These companies sometimes ask for huge amount of money in exchange for sponsorship.

Likes (Part time work): We enjoy our time in the library studying with friends and discussing every aspect of our subjects. We also enjoy events like cultural activities and group discussions regarding our subjects. Students from different cities are there in our college and they are friendly with their fellow mates.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The faculty is always available to help students and they are very good at explaining even the most difficult concepts. The facilities are also very good and they exceed the expectations of the students. The teachers are very understanding and patient and they never get annoyed with our questions.
