The ACT exam fee structure has changed for Indian students in 2025. Now that the Science section of the ACT exam has also been made optional just like the Writing section, test takers can choos to pay for it or not. Here is the complete fee structure of ACT exam in 2025:

The ACT test is conducted at various locations in the major cities of India. Some of these cities are Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Pune, Noida, Jaipur, Kodaikanal, Vadodara, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. No, ACT is not available as the "remote" exam. Test takers must take the ACT test at a nearby test centre on a device managed by the test centre. 

Yes, Maths is compulsary for the ACT exam as it is one of the three core subjects. The new ACT exam format in 2025 contains Maths, English and Reading sections as the core subjects. The Maths section will now consist of 45 questions which need to be completely in 50 min by the students. 

Yes, a calculator can be used, but only while attempting the Maths section of the ACT test. The use of calculators is not allowed during the attempt of other sections like English and Reading. 

ACT exam centres are located across 15 cities of India and each city has atleast two test centres available for the exam. Applicants have the option to choose any one ACT exam centre in any one of the Indian cities only. The ACT exam dates may vary hence, availabilty of seats at the chosen exam centre may also vary, hence, applicants should be prompt when and where they wish to appear for the ACT exam.

There is no such comparison that can be drawn between ACT or SAT difficulty levels. While ACT focuses more on Maths section plus Reading and Writing with an analytical bend, SAT on the other hand is more about understanding and then answering the questions of Math & Reading + Writing. The difficulty of the exams depends upon the applicant's preparation and what choice they make between ACT or SAT. It is all about the applicant's knowledge and how he/she perceives the test they wish to take. 

There are different types of ACT registration fees for students. Candidates need to pay an additional USD 40 as a late registration fee for the ACT if they register after the regular deadline.

Around USD 48 is charged as "Change Fee" for requesting a change your test centre or date after registering for your ACT exam. The other ACT exam fee include fee for sending your ACT exam scores to teh 5th or 6th universities of your choice or for requesting extra score reports. Both cost USD 20.00 separately. 

You can change the type of ACT exam you want to undertake. You can also change the day and date of your booked ACT exam appointment or even change your test centre. However, all this can be done by paying an additional "Change Fee" towards your booked ACT exam appointment. The amount of Change Fee that you would need to pay is $48.00.

Hi SAT and ACT are both the standardized test for admission in US. While SAT is more famous in India, ACT is actually better to score high provided you prepare well for it. You may choose one or both as the colleges in USA pick up your score directly from the organisation. I would suggest you to take a mock test for both and then decide.

A good ACT score depends on the college/university that you're applying to. However, an ACT score between 28-36 is generally considered good and is accepted by most of the top-tier institutions.

Yes candidates are allowed to bring a calculator as per the ACT calculator policy. The calculator must of the proposed configuration as given by the American Testing Agency, else students will not be allowed to carry the calculators along with them. Please note, the ACT exam centre will not provide the applicants with a calculator or allow them to borrow it from fellow test takers, hence, the applicants must carry the calculators of their own.
