- Basic prerequisite for admission to the master's programme Cyber Security is a first qualifying degree (at least bachelor's degree) or a qualification equivalent degree in a programme closely related to computer sciences.
- In particular, a bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or mathematics with subsidiary computer science qualifies. Adequate content of the degree is available if the theoretical, practical, applied, and technical computer science and mathematics education is comparable to the bachelor's degree course in computer science at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
- To successfully follow our academic programme, it is required to have a solid background in theoretical computer science, mathematics (including discrete mathematics and number theory, analysis, linear algebra), foundations of operating systems, computer networking as well as programming.
- The Examination Board of Cyber Security at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will decide whether an applicant’s degree is sufficient. If the board is unsure about the equivalence, they may decide that a student must complete additional preliminary modules.

My Experience Transitioning to University Life in Germany
Tips: It has been an easy transition to Germany, although getting used to the language, the culture, the weather, and independent living has taken some time. I have noticed a change in the culture, particularly in the way people communicate, the sense of timing, and the attitude towards education and personal space. I have not applied for any scholarships, so I do not have much information about the scholarship program and the allowance. I am really happy with the university and the course, as there is enough exposure to the real world and to learning AI thoroughly.

Reality of German public universities!!
Tips: There are a lot of things to know when coming to Germany for studies. One of the most important things is that public universities are in tier-2 cities, and because of this, most of the people speak only German. There are scholarships such as DAAD, etc. Based on some eligibilities and requirements.
Likes (Student Life): My college has a very structured academic and also they have a lot of opportunities to work with lecturers and on study projects, which helps us to build our knowledge quite often. There are communities based on nationality, department, etc. This will also help in many areas.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Most of the restaurants are German restaurants, and Indian restaurants are also quite expensive, and the taste is below average. On average, if you're Indian, it's better to cook at your house than to go out to eat Indian food. The Indian food is specifically bland because most of the customers are German, and they hate spicy food (even minimal spice).

Very friendly and peace full environment.
Tips: After getting your university offer, you have to apply for a student ID on their website. I would suggest that before landing in Germany, you also learn the language. BTU conducts more events for international students to get to know each other. After reaching to the university, you have to get the health insurance card and find a house doctor, which is more important and difficult to get.
