As per Article 3 LHGebG (Baden-Württemberg Act on State University Fees), international students from third-countries / Non-EU countries attending bachelor’s, teacher’s, and consecutive master’s programs and free movers will have to pay the tuition fee of amount EUR 1,500 per semester. In the case of a bachelor’s degree, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology takes 3 weeks to process the applications, whereas, in the case of master’s degree, 4-5 weeks is the processing time. The language of instruction of MSc in Computer Science is German. KIT admissions requirements for the MSc in Computer Science course are given below:

• A passed bachelor’s degree or at least an equivalent degree in the bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or degree programme with essentially the same content at a university, technical college or vocational academy or dual university at a foreign university. Also, note that the concerned course must have been completed over a standard period of study of at least 3 years with a minimum of 180 ECTS points

Minimum achievements in the following areas are required:

• Theoretical Computer Science – 15 credit points
• Practical Computer Science – 30 credit points
• Technical Computer Science – 8 credit points
• Mathematics – 25 credit points

Also, international students need to show knowledge of the German language. For the application, a B1 level of knowledge is required. At the time of enrolment, the applicants can submit a DSH2 certificate or an accepted equivalent thereof
