Applying for TUM PG courses? These courses would require a UG degree, which should be equivalent to the German Bachelor's (min 3 years and 6 semesters). For most of the programs, Indian students need to sit for a two-stage Aptitude Assessment (EFV).
For TUM, stage 1 will assess the student's academic grades by using a points system: if points do not meet the criteria, the applicants are rejected; if the score is above, then these students are admitted directly and borderline applicants are invited for a stage 2 interview (this is a 20-minute online interview). Pro Tip: If you are an IIT graduate and want to apply for TUM admissions, then you do not need to submit a GRE or GATE score. Instead of that, just upload your IIT transcript in the GRE/GATE slot. This is an official policy of IIT exemption for India.
Technical University of Munich UG Admission Requirements 2026
To apply for the Technical University of Munich UG courses, a bare 12th Class certificate from CBSE/ICSE will not directly work as equivalent to the German Abitur at TUM. Most of Indian students are required to either have a JJE Advanced qualification or they should have completed atleast a year of a university degree in India before applying.

As an Indian student, getting into the Technical University of Munich will require a mandatory APS Certificate (this now requires dMAT exam), a recognised UG degree and proof of English/German proficiency and an aptitude assessment.

There are no particular rankings for BBA Courses at both TU Munich and LMU Munich, but the general rankings are #1 for TU Munich and #2 for LMU Munich. Ludwig Maximilian is very budget friendly because it does not charge any tuition fee whereas LMU Munich offers 8 BBA Courses while TU Munich offers
