Part time work options in USA

How much you will earn in your part-time job completely depends on the work and position you work. On-campus, there are two types of part-time jobs

  • Operations positions
  • Assistantships

International students enrolled in a full-time course are allowed to work for 20 hours a week.

Operations positions: In an ops job, you are paid hourly between US $8-$10 per hour.

Assistantship: In Assistantship, students' tuition and insurance are covered. Apart from this, some colleges also offer housing and other benefits for which become eligible because of Assistantship.

Part-time work options in Canada

Canada is still the topmost choice for international students who want to study abroad. Those who are planning to go on a Canadian Student Visa can get permission of working 20 hours per week. Apart from this, universities also recommend working hours to students based on the difficulty level of their courses. Also, the minimum wage differs from province to province. Part-time work options in Australia

Australia is one of the most popular study abroad destinations for Indian students. Student visas for Australia have changed from July 1, 2016. As per the new rules, students going to Australia under Visa Subclass 500 are eligible to work for up to 40 hours in a fortnight while the course is in Session and for unlimited hours when the course is not in session (during breaks). Part-time work options in UK

The UK is one of the most popular countries for study abroad aspirants. After the announcement of the comeback of the two-year post-study work visa for international students, UK has once again emerged as the favourite destination for Indian students. UK Student Visas register 93% growth among Indian students in 2019. Below are the details of working part-time while on UK Student Visa

  • Maximum of 20 hours per week of paid/unpaid work for those studying at degree level or more
  • Maximum of 10 hours per week of paid/unpaid work during course term for language center students
  • Full-time work is allowed during vacations
  • You can’t work full time until you have received a work permit (Tier 2)
  • Self-employment is not permitted, like any freelance or consultancy work

Another popular study abroad destination among international students is Germany. As public universities in Germany are financed by the government, so, they not charge tuition fee from students or charge a minimal amount, so, largely, higher education for students become inexpensive.
