Process of admission
- Request the application form
- Once you decide on a college, request an application form online or by post.
- Submit the application with must have documents which are as follows:
- Passport size photos x 7 (blue background)
- Certified copies of the secondary and/or tertiary academic results, i.e. certificates, academic transcripts, etc. If your copies are not in English, please include an English translation.
- 1 set of photocopy of your passport (ALL PAGES including blank pages). Please ensure at least one-year validity of your passport.
- A general medical report is required from your home country (No need for a blood test report but just a simple health check from your doctor).
- Resume (an updated resume)
- SOP (A personal statement explaining your intentions to study in Malaysia and future plans)
- Proof of English language (Where applicable)
- References or LORs (generally two to three references are required, preferably from your academic institution)
- Application fees (If any)
Here's the application procedure
Step 1
Submit the application form to the Institute of your choice with the relevant documents. Check whether that particular institute has the official approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Malaysia Immigration Department) to recruit international students or not.

Step 2
If your application is approved by the institute, they will help you to apply for student pass at the Malaysian Immigration Department in Malaysia prior to your entry.
Step 3
After the acceptance, a letter of approval for student pass will be issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department to the educational institution which offered the place for you to study. Then the educational institution will send you the approval letter when you are in your parent country.
Step 4
Before leaving the parent country, you should inform the institution about your port of entry (airport), flight number, arrival date and time.
Step 5
The moment you arrive at Malaysia's airport, the representative of the institute will receive you at the immigration checkpoint at the Malaysian airport. Visa will be issued to you at the entry point in the form of an endorsement on your valid national passport.
Step 6
Within two weeks of your arrival in the country, the institute will submit your passport to the Immigration Department to affix the Student Pass sticker.
