Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore MBBS Highlights 2026
The Medicine and Surgery course is a 6-year, English-taught degree offered through two campuses, namely, Rome and Bolzano. At the Rome campus, students enrolled in the Medicine and Surgery programme receive hands-on clinical training at Gemelli Hospital, ranked the No.1 university hospital in Italy and 33rd globally (Newsweek 2026).
On the other hand, the Medicine and Surgery programme at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Bolzano Campus is offered in partnership with the Claudiana University Centre for Health Professions in Bolzano. Designed for an international learning environment, the programme combines integrated medical sciences with problem-based learning, early patient exposure, and multilingual clinical training. Students attend lectures in English while gaining clinical experience in Italian and German, preparing them for healthcare careers in multicultural and cross-border settings across Europe. The curriculum includes medical ethics, patient communication, and healthcare law, equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills required for modern medical practice.
Admission is based on Università Cattolica’s own entrance examination, with selection according to merit and the number of available places.
