Study Abroad: The Festival of Australia event in New Delhi, brought together top Australian universities and retail partners showcasing premium F&B products and world-class education.

The second phase of the "Festival of Australia," has been organized in four cities starting with Chennai followed by Pune, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The event was organized by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).

The Festival celebrated Australia’s premium food and beverage products along with its world-class education and brought together Australia’s retail partners and universities on a single platform.

Speaking about the festival, Vik Singh, Trade and Investment Commissioner – South Asia, Austrade, said, "We are very happy to host the second phase of the festival, showcasing Australia’s excellence in education and cuisine. Through this event, we aim to raise awareness and create new opportunities for Indian students, families, and food enthusiasts to explore Australia as a leading destination for top-tier education and fine dining experiences. The growing presence of Australian produce in Indian cuisine is a testament to the increasing demand for high-quality ingredients."

Festival Of Australia In Delhi: More Details

The event also offered a great opportunity for Indian parents and students to explore educational programs in Australia and engage directly with Australian university representatives.

The following masterclasses offered insights to Indian students about studying in Australia:

  • Sujata Chhabra, an Independent education consultant, presented the Insight Masterclass on IELTS Essentials.
  • Kin Eng Chin, Associate Professor, School of Education, College of Health and Education, Murdoch University presented an Academic Masterclass on Building A Brighter Future, Together.
  • Shruti Chandra, Head of Government Relations and Public Policy at Prudential PLC, Alumna of the University of Melbourne presented the Pep talk.

The premium products showcased at the Australian Food Pavilion included cheese, honey, sauces, nutrition bars, lamb, seafood and pasta.

Austrade joined forces with Jio Mart to establish an ‘Australia Pavilion’ and also collaborated with Delhi-based retailer Food Square to promote their products at the food pavilion.

The Festival of Australia strengthens Australia’s presence in India and celebrates a shared commitment to cross-cultural appreciation and collaboration,” says the official statement.
