The applicants must have already significantly contributed to the research and must have outstanding academic profiles. The Forest Research Foundation is offering the Postdoctoral Forest Fellowships 2026.

There are numerous benefits of the Postdoctoral Forrest Fellowships 2026 in Australia. The selected candidates will get a consistent salary of Level A Step 8 appointment plus 17% superannuation. The salary of the University of Western Australia for this appointment is $108,362 in 2025. The candidates will get an accommodation allowance of $25,116 per annum in 2025. There is also a research and travel allowance which is available for only conference travel, overseas research, and research-related expenses, and it is for the amount of $12,000. All international and interstate fellows can apply for a relocation allowance.

About Forest Research Foundation

This foundation works with five partner universities to offer PhD scholarships to Australian and international researchers. The scholarship offers a package that includes fees, accommodation at Forrest Hall and a stipend. This scholarship package is offered for four-year period and the amount is more than AU$270,000. They get a Research Training Program (RTP) stipend or equivalent which was valued between $32,192 to $37,000 per annum in 2024. The accommodation amount covers all costs of a studio apartment at Forrest Hall.

"If a Forrest Scholar is granted a residency exemption by the Forest Research Foundation Governors, the accommodation allowance may be used to contribute towards the cost of other residential accommodation. The Forrest Foundation endeavours to provide a 2-bedroom apartment to scholars with resident dependent children," says the statement of the foundation.

The researchers also get a research and travel allowance of up to $12,000 plus a relocation allowance. The research and travel allowance is offered for overseas research, approved research-related expenses, and conference travel.

"International Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarship or equivalent university international fee scholarship, which covers the full international tuition fees and overseas student health cover," added the statement.
