Study In UK: Applications Open For Imperial President's PhD Scholarships

Interested applicants can apply by March 10, 2025, and the selected ones will be notified by May end, 2025.

Imperial College London is offering 50 President's PhD scholarships for supporting 3.5 years of study. It is a competitive scheme which looks for talented candidates with strong academic merits. It is open to students of all nationalities.

Imperial President's PhD scholarships are applicable for both part-time and full-time study.

Benefits Of Imperial President's PhD Scholarships

The following are the benefits of the scholarships:

• It is a fully-funded scholarship covering the tuition fees.
• Living expenses of £25,980 (2025/26 rate) per annum.
• For the first 3 years of study, the students will get a consumables fund of £2,000 per annum.
• Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI) will deliver a programme of bespoke opportunities and events.

Imperial President's PhD Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Imperial President's PhD Scholarships:

• The candidates should have a first-class undergraduate or integrated Masters degree or equivalent.
• They must have a distinction in a standalone Master’s qualification.

"The scheme is only open to new PhD applications. Currently, registered Imperial PhD students are not eligible to be considered for a President's PhD Scholarship," added Imperial's statement.

Selection Criteria For Imperial President's PhD Scholarships

The selection will be based on academic excellence based on awards, distinctions, relative class position, transcripts, and post-academic results, and also on research potential demonstrated by the interest in discovery, research experience, the department statement, and the research plan and its potential.

The selected candidates will receive the written confirmation. Those who will apply by March 10, 2025, will be notified by the end of May 2025.

The applications will be reviewed by the departments to which the applicants have applied, the department will shortlist the candidates and send them to the College Selection Panel for consideration and the Panel will make the final decision.
