Universities Of Birmingham And Glasgow Offer Indian Students Exclusive Careers Support
Study in UK: Two of the UK’s top Russell Group universities, including the University of Glasgow and the University of Birmingham, have launched a joint careers programme in India to support Indian students returning home after graduating from these universities.
Study Abroad: The University of Birmingham has joined forces with the University of Glasgow to support Indian students and other international students by improving their employability. In the QS World University Rankings, both these universities ranked in the top 100.
While commenting on this, Professor Adam Tickell, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Birmingham, said, “International students have a prominent place in our student community, and we are committed to helping them make the most of graduate opportunities. Both these universities will help students provide tailored employability support to the graduates who return to India. The job opportunities in India will be provided in collaboration with the alumni networks, Indian employers, and industry advisory boards.
Even during their studies in the UK at these universities, the students will get support from the universities. There are dedicated International Engagement Teams to offer the Careers Services, including alumni mentoring opportunities, access to bespoke career advice, and employer-led events.
These efforts reflect the university's commitment to offering lasting impact beyond the classroom so that students can succeed in a global career environment. A similar support model is also being developed for students from China. These services will be accessible not only to the current students but also to graduates for up to five years after graduation.
