University Of Liverpool Announces Investment Partnership With Northern Gritstone

Study in UK: Under this partnership, the Northern Gritstone gets the status of preferred investor regarding the University’s deeptech spinout companies.
The University of Liverpool has collaborated with the Northern Gritstone for a multi-year partnership agreement. The university will work with the Northern Gritstone to improve the spinout activities through investment and through services provided by the NG Innovation Services.
Professor Anthony Hollander, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Impact, University of Liverpool, said, “This partnership with Northern Gritstone marks an important step forward in translating our research into real-world impact at scale. Professor Mark Green Bags 2025 Royal Geographical Society Back Award
Royal Geographical Society recognizes the applied or scientific geographical research work through the Back Award. The society has awarded Professor Mark Green, from the Department of Geography and Planning, the 2025 Back Award.
While commenting on this, Professor Mark Green said, “I am truly honoured to receive the 2025 Back Award. I’m fortunate to work in a field where I can dedicate my time and energy to using data and evidence to inform key policy decisions. I always tell my students that the power of geography lies in its ability to make a real-world impact—so it’s deeply meaningful to have this work recognised.”
The society gives this award every year to recognize outstanding achievements across fieldwork, geographical research, teaching, expeditions, professional practice, policy, and public engagement.
