Study Abroad: The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, has announced offering a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards to outstanding international students joining a postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2025. It is being given by the Faculty of Engineering at the university. The scholarship amount is worth between £7,000 and £10,000.

The Dean’s International Excellence Awards are towards the tuition fees. The last date to apply for this scholarship is July 31, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria For Dean’s International Excellence Awards

The following are the eligibility criteria for this scholarship:

• The applicant should be an international (non-EU) student who is self-funded.
• They must be joining the on-campus programme to commence in September 2025.
• No separate application form is required. The eligible students will be considered automatically and will be considered before July 31, 2025.
• They need to be academically sound. The requirement is either a UK first-class undergraduate degree or equivalent international qualification.
• The following are the eligible subjects – Architecture, Aeronautical engineering, Chemical engineering, Biomedical engineering, Civil engineering, Civil & environmental engineering, , Electronic & electrical engineering, Design manufacture & engineering management, Environmental engineering, Engineering, Mechanical & aerospace engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval architecture, Mechanical engineering, Ocean engineering, Naval architecture ocean & marine engineering, Renewable energy, Prosthetics & orthotics, and Product design.

Dean’s International Excellence Awards: More Details

The following are the important points related to the awards:

• The scholarships cannot be transferred or deferred to any other entry points.
• Once selected for the scholarship, the details will be added to the student's record, and funds will be deducted automatically from the tuition fees.
• At the University of Strathclyde, students are eligible for only one scholarship per academic year.
• Dean’s International Excellence Awards are not provided in combination with any other sponsorship from an embassy or government office.
• Those who are pursuing an MSc course. They will get a £5,000 scholarship annually. This includes - the MSc Advanced Electrical Power and Energy Systems, MArch Architectural Design (International), and MArch Advanced Architectural Design.
