Following the approval of the UK government, the University of Nottingham has announced to increase the tuition fees for the 2025-26 academic year.

University Of Nottingham To Increase Tuition Fees For 2025-26 Academic Year

The University of Nottingham has said that the maximum tuition fee for UK Home undergraduate and Initial Teacher Training students pursuing courses in England will increase in the academic year 2025-2026. The maximum tuition fee will increase to £9,535.

"The university will charge the maximum approved fee, which is an increase of £285. You do not need to do anything. If you pay your fees directly to the university, you will receive a charge notification once you have completed registration and module enrolment for the 2025-26 academic year," reads the university statement.

For those who will be undertaking a placement in 2025-2026, will need to pay a proportion of the full tuition fee. Students who have a tuition fee loan, their additional fees will be covered through the loan. The university said that it will not affect the student's monthly loan repayments after they finish their program.

“For a student loan, the amount you pay depends on how much you earn over the repayment threshold, not how much you borrowed during your studies,” added the university statement.

Alumni Programme 'Connected We Thrive' To Help New Graduates

Those Nottingham students who are graduating this summer will get support from the alumni through the 'Connected We Thrive' program. The students can connect online or in person with the alumni community to build professional networks and thrive with a unique collection of seminars and webinars.

The alumni community help students to learn continuously through exclusive webinars such as Grow Your Ambition, Grow Your Personal Brand, How to Banish Burnout, How to Embrace and Overcome Imposter Syndrome and How to Succeed at Career Transitions.

“We also signpost online networking forums like LinkedIn groups and even informal university society groups open to alumni, like Blowsoc and hockey, ensuring your Nottingham connections last,” says the university statement.

The university advised the new graduates to connect with the 340,000-strong community to build their professional network. The alumni network provides the Careers and Employability services for the new graduates.
