University Of Sheffield: Applications Open For International Baccalaureate Merit Scholarship 2025

Study in UK: The application deadline for the International Baccalaureate Undergraduate Merit Scholarships at the University of Sheffield is April 22, 2025, by 1 pm UK time.

The University of Sheffield, UK is offering 5 International Baccalaureate Undergraduate Merit Scholarships in 2025. The scholarships are for students applying to the undergraduate programmes commencing in September 2025.  The last date to apply for this scholarship is April 22, 2025, by 1 pm UK time.

International Baccalaureate Undergraduate Merit Scholarships are worth £10,000 each towards the tuition fee. The students can get a maximum value of £40,000 for four-year programmes.

International Baccalaureate Merit Scholarship 2025: Eligibility Criteria

It is available for new foreign undergraduate students who meet the eligibility criteria of the scholarship. The following are the eligibility criteria for the International Baccalaureate Merit Scholarship:

• They should have studied earlier or are currently studying for an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
• The applicant must have an offer to study at the University of Sheffield in a full-time or part-time undergraduate degree or foundation degree programme beginning in September 2025.
• The scholarship is available for all undergraduate degree courses except Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
• The applicants’ program must commence in September 2025.
• The degree courses split between the University of Sheffield and a partner institution are not eligible for this scholarship.
• The students should be eligible to pay the international tuition fee and must be self-funded for fee-paying.
• They should not be a sponsored student.
• The applicants should enter the programme in year 1 or year 2.

“For scholarship purposes, all March programmes are considered as postgraduate taught programmes and are not eligible for any undergraduate scholarships. The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provision,” reads the university statement.

It is a competitive award and a panel of senior members will select from all applications based on excellent achievements, educational initiatives, voluntary work or extra-curricular activities.

The winners of this scholarship will be announced by May 14, 2025, and selected candidates will be asked for confirmation of acceptance of their scholarship.

The International Baccalaureate Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025 cannot be awarded along with any of the following scholarships:
