The Queensland University of Technology Acceptance rate is just 40% - 44%. The Application process at Queensland University of Technology may vary slightly depending on the course and level of study. However, here is the following process for UG and PG courses.

The Undergraduate application process:

QUT applications can be made through their official   online portal or UAC (Universities Admissions center international).

Step 1:  Choose your interested course

Step 2: Check your programme requirements thoroughly, see if your current qualifications are recognized, and convert your current qualification score into Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR).

Step 3: Ensure you meet the English language requirements for your chosen course.

Step 4:  You can apply through the following

  • Through QUT University Portal

  • Through the Universities Admissions Centre International

  • Through an authorized agent. However, the University only accepts applications from official representatives under professional and reliable advice.

Step 5: You will need the following ready before applying

  • Transcripts of High school

  • Applicant must have a minimum score of 6 in IELTS

Step 6:  You’ll receive a UAS Number or your 8-digit MLA application upon submission of your application.

Step 7: You’ll get an offer letter if you're selected.

Q:   How much is QUT application fee for international students?
A: 

The application fee for international students is USD 100 (INR 8.3 K). The fee is non-refundable. It is important to note that in addition to the application fee, international students are required to pay a programme registration fee of USD 175 (INR 14,603) and a USD 3,000 (INR 2.50 lakh) deposit on their degree program.

USD 1 = INR 83.44

QUT does not require SAT scores for Indian students. The admission requirements for Indian students at QUT include:
- Minimum GPA of 4.0 on 7-point scale
- IELTS score of 6.
- Minimum GMAT score of 550 (for MBA) 
- Additionally, students can take up academic and English language pathway programs if they don't meet the entry requirements mentioned above

Q:   Does QUT offer scholarships for international students?
A: 

Yes it does, QUT offers scholarships for international students under QUT international merit scholarship.  covering 25% of tuition fees for the first two semesters across all faculties, contingent on meeting minimum academic standards. Additionally, ongoing scholarships covering 25% of tuition fees per semester are available for eligible courses in courses of Business, Law, Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Engineering, and Science, provided students maintain academic requirements.  Below are more scholarships which are provided by the university

  • QUT College Merit Scholarship: Undergraduate students with the required academic result are offered a scholarship of AUD 3,120 in the first semester of a Diploma program

  • MBA & EMBA Scholarships: A scholarship of AUD 500 is offered to students who have a GMAT score of 600-699 and AUD 1,000 to candidates who scored 700 or more. Apart from this, there are other conditions to avail of this scholarship which can be found on the university website.

  • QUT Excellence Scholarship: A scholarship of AUD 30,000 is offered to students in all disciplines who have permanent residency in New Zealand or Australia and international students who have completed high school in Australia.

  • Equity Scholarships Scheme: An amount of AUD 1,500 for one year is offered to international students with low household incomes and who are experiencing financial hardships.

Tips: The university has a very practical approach towards the students, if you're looking for practical learning this is the university to go to. The faculty is very welcoming and students will feel like they are at home also the teaching period isn't long probably three days a week so a person can work as well as study simultaneously.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teaching faculty is very diverse and very well educated along with this they are very professional and helpful towards all of the students. Teaching faculty will help you learn theoretical things practically so the students are ready to work in the field as soon as they graduate.
Dislikes (Internships): Opportunities are widely available via the student placement cell, the university is very helpful in suggesting and providing for available opportunities. The university has a very good industrial reputation and it prepares the students for the future, it'll help in every aspect of your professional career.
