Rus Education organizes Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 in New Delhi
To strengthen the education ties between the two countries, Rus Education organized the Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 in New Delhi. The summit commenced on April 11, 2024, and will conclude on April 13, 2024.
Rus Education, in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo”, The Russian House in New Delhi, the Russian Embassy Russian Federal Agency for Humanitarian Cooperation, organized the Indo-Russian Education Summit 2024 on April 11, 2024.
Ambassador Alipov further announced, "Currently, there are 22,000 Indian students pursuing their higher education in Russia. This number can and must grow significantly in the coming future by the positive development due to the scholarship opportunities offered to Indian students by the Russian Government from 200 to 500 specifically."
The event was graced by some eminent personalities including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India HE Denis Alipov, Mr. Denis Gribov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Mrs.Tatiana Semenova, Deputy Minister of Health of Russian Federation and others.

The event serves as a significant platform for advancing educational cooperation between Russia and India and nurturing strategic partnerships. The summit aims to unlock new opportunities for students and professionals and drive transformative change.

The summit started with an inaugural speech by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India, HE Denis Alipov, who highlighted the significance of the Indo-Russian Education Summit as the first of its kind dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation in education. The mutual recognition of academic degrees between the two nations, signalling a landmark achievement in bilateral educational relations, added Alipov.
Dr. B Srinivas, Secretary of the National Medical Commission also delivered a speech during the panel discussion, underscoring the importance of collaboration in higher education to foster comprehensive cooperation among the participating nations. He talked about the pivotal role of academia in driving innovation, cultural exchange, and sustainable development across borders.
Today, the Ministers from the Russian Federation would be visiting the NMC to discuss reciprocity in medical education between the two countries, added Dr Srinivas.
Yesterday, there was a Panel discussion on “Russia – India – BRICS: the role of higher education in the development of comprehensive cooperation”. Today's discussion is on “Career opportunities for Indian graduates of Russian universities” and "Cooperation between Russia and India in the field of medical education". On April 13, the submit will witness Round Table Conference “Technical Universities” to promote student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and other educational partnerships between the two countries in the field of technology.
