Yes, IMI is one of Switzerland's leading hospitality management schools for higher education and hosts a total of 400 students (200 in-house and 200 internship) students from over 35 different nationalities on their beautiful lakeside campus located in Kastanienbaum.

Q:   When can I apply to IMI Switzerland?
A: 

IMI Switzerland has four intake seasons for 2026 admissions. It has no official deadlines and accepts applications all around the year.

However, postgraduate courses do not accept admissions during all the intake seasons. The Hotel Management courses accepts students only during May 2026 and November 2026, whereas the other Masters courses accept students during Feb and August intake season. Hence, students can apply to IMI Switzerland according to their choice of course.

Q:   Which documents do I need to submit while applying to IMI Switzerland?
A: 

IMI Switzerland is a hospitality school which is known for its programmes in fields of Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Management, Marketing and Business. It requires documents in two stages during the time of application.

The following documents are required for the initial academic assessment:

  • Most recent academic transcript
  • Passport photocopy
  • A proof of English level (IELTS certificate or equivalent)
  • A motivation letter (approx. 500 words)
  • CV/Resume (in English)
  • A completed Health declaration form

For some applications, IMI may also require:

  • Proof of financial funds for applicant's study (normally a bank statement)
  • A letter confirming the applicant's intent to return to their home country on completion of their studies

The IMI didn’t release its acceptance rate for international students. However, as per the unofficial sources the IMI Switzerland acceptance rate is around 80-85%. High acceptance rate makes the IMI Switzerland admission slightly competitive for students.
