- First Division Pass and a minimum final average of 58 - 60% (in the traditional system), or
- CGPA 5.8 - 7.5 on the 10 point scale; depending on the institution attended and the grading system used

For this reason, it may be possible at the discretion of the Selector to consider candidates from top institutions who have achieved a very good Second Class degree with a final average of 58% or above (where a UK 2:1 is required)
