GREAT Scholarships for Indians to study in UK 2025

Those selected will receive atleast £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year PG programme. Also, as per the norms, an invitation will be sent to the scholarship recipients to attend a welcome event in the first semester and a networking event in the next one.

GREAT Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
In order to get considered for GREAT scholarships, an applicant must be:
- An Indian citizen
- Possessing a bachelor's degree, having the motivation and interest in the subject area proposed
- Fulfilling the English language requirements of the UK HEI
- Able to set up an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through academic and personal fulfilment
- Ready to become a part of a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars
- Ready to stay in touch with the British Council and their HEI, acting as a GREAT scholarship representative
- Ready to interact with potential candidates, as GREAT scholarship alumnus, sometimes about his/her experience pursuing a degree in the UK

GREAT Scholarship Application Process
- Those who wish to apply for GREAT scholarships can do so by following the below-mentioned instructions:
- Visit the British Council website and click on the 'Scholarships and Funding' tab
- Select GREAT Scholarships and then select your country on the next page
- A list of UK universities will appear which are offering this scholarship
- Click on the university name and read the details related to the scholarship. Follow the link provided to apply for the scholarship
- Every institution has a different deadline to apply for the same. Apply before the date approaches
- Those selected will be intimated by individual institutions

The purpose of the GREAT Scholarship programme is to improve UK brand perception in the Indian market with the goal of significantly increasing the number of students choosing to study in the UK.
