Leicester University Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

Applicants should make sure that they send their respective applications to the UCAS office by January 26. Those wishing to study Medicine should do so by October 15. It is always a smart decision to not wait till the last date of applying and send the application earlier. Late applications are accepted throughout the year but it’s the university's prerogative to accept them or not.

The application fee for the undergraduate application is as per UCAS. It is GBP 22.50 for one programme and an additional GBP 27 for multiple choices. If applied late, GBP 26 is charged for additional choices. For postgraduate applications, no fee is charged. 

The requirements for  MEng in Mechanical Engineering are mentioned below:

12th- Applicants should have completed the standard XII awarded by the CISCE/CBSE, or another recognised state exam board

Applicants with 75% may be considered for admission

Required Subject: Maths, Physics, Physical Science, English

PTE- Marks - 54/90

IELTS- Marks - 6/9

With minimum test score of 5.5 in each section

For undergraduate applications, the university will decide on the application as quickly as possible. If the university makes an offer of admission, you will receive an official notification through UCAS and an offer letter from the university. Generally, UCAS universities have till May to send all acceptances. For postgraduate applications, the university will let you know whether you have been selected within 28 days of obtaining your application.  For UG Admission at the University of Leicester

Every year in September first week, application acceptance commences at UCAS for entry to the university next year October. Applicants are required to follow the following steps while applying at the University of Leicester:

Step 1: Visit the UCAS platform and open an account.

Step 2: Check out the list of available courses for international students. There are various options that exist.

Step 3: Applicants need to submit a personal statement and make themselves stand out. State why should you get selected and the reason behind you opting for a particular subject/course.

Step 4: You will also need to get a reference from your school teacher, which will act as a support to your candidature.

Step 5: You finally need to deposit the application fee.

Step 6: In the end submit your UCAS application form. If selected, you will either receive a conditional or an unconditional offer.

For PG admission at the University of Leicester

Step 1: Go through the list of courses available at the PG level, such as a Master's or a Research course, and select the one which holds your interest. You can research more about your selected course at the department website.

Step 2: Submit the required relevant documents. Applicants can upload their supporting documentation's electronic version.

Step 3: Applications for all the distance learning and the majority of the campus-based courses can be filled in online on the website only. The 'Apply Now' link will be present at each course page's bottom.

Step 4: Applicants should register as new users or login if their account exists already. In case you're unable to complete your form at one go, you can always save the same and visit the page anytime later to do so. Click on submit to complete the application procedure.

Step 5: A confirmation email will be received thereafter.

Note: Applicants for PGCE should apply through UCASTT.
