University of Pavia Eligibility Criteria 2025
The eligibility criteria for non-EU students residing abroad who also have obtained their qualifications abroad are given below. The following students are eligible to apply who:
- Have obtained a minimum of 12 years of school education and hold a secondary school diploma.
- Have obtained their qualifications after trending at least two years of attendance at the same program(s).
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree of ≥ 3 years in duration, if applying for a master's program.
The admission requirements for admission to the University of Pavia’s bachelor's and master's programs involve qualifying for the following exams.
- English TOLC-I or English TOLC@CASA with a minimum of 21 marks out of 50 (≥ 21/50).
- SAT with a minimum of 979 marks out of 1600 (≥ 979/1600).
University of Pavia Application Process
The steps to apply for the University of Pavia admissions 2024 for the English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programs are given below.
- Visit the https://apply.unipv.eu/ portal.
- Check the requirements of the course that you are willing to apply and check your eligibility for the course.
- After checking your eligibility, register yourself by clicking on “I am a new student” and then enter your active email ID; with this, a PIN code appears on the screen.
- As the next step, students are required to check their email ID to look for a verification email from the university. Students have to click on the verification link given in the email and enter the PIN code that appeared on the registration tab.
- Verify your email ID and then set a “new password” for your account.
- Now select your desired program and start filling out the application process for the same.
- Upload all the required documents such as identity proofs + bachelor’s degree, English tests such as SAT, English TOLC-I or English TOLC@CASA tests and academic transcripts issued in English/Spanish/French; if not then these documents must be officially translated into Italian.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of € 35 (or INR 3166/-).
- Submit your application before the deadline.
The university releases the merit list shortly after the conclusion of the application period. Students are then required to finish their admission process within the stipulated admission deadline.
University of Pavia Fees
The non-EU students residing abroad or having either a residence permit or a visa to study can choose to pay the University of Pavia’s fees by any one of the following methods.
1. Flat Rate
The average fees range from € 400 - 4500 per year. This is based on the student’s chosen area of studies and their citizenship, based on three pre-defined brackets. For more details on these brackets, please visit the course page on the official website of the University of Pavia.

2. Tuition Fee Adjusted as per Student’s Family’s Economic Conditions
This fee is composed of two fee components.
- Fixed Fee: This component of the fee is mandatory and is equivalent to €156 (€140 Regional Tax and €16 duty stamp).
- Variable Fee: This fee ranges from €0 to €4463 based on the student’s area of study and the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator (I.S.E.E). In case a student’s I.S.E.E is ≤ €23.000, the variable fee becomes ≤ € 0.
