Clayton State University: Courses, Admission, Cost
- Estd. 1969
Originated in 1969, Clayton State University has since been a part of the University System of Georgia, along with holding a higher rank in it. It is located in Morrow, Georgia, and it serves the Metro Atlanta, along with being a senior unit in the university system of Georgia. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges accredit it. CSU is divided into four colleges; a graduate school, Information & Mathematical Sciences, Business, Health, and Arts & Sciences.
The university has a 192-acre widespread campus, which keeps the students closer to nature since the university itself includes five lakes and wide-open grounds for the students. It has a yearly admission rate of up to 4000 freshmen who pursue and choose from a vast range of majors offered by the university. Some of the majors offered by this university are Liberal Arts and Humanities, Community Psychology, Nursing, Hospital Management, Business, Office Management, Paralegal, Biology, Accounting, and Communications.
Clayton State University has decent dorms for the students to live in and healthy food so that every student stays energized and active for any responsibility coming their way. It falls under the NCAA Division 2 (without football) and holds the Peach Belt Athletic Conference in its premises every year.
This university has brilliant professors and according to surveys, most students agree to the fact that the professors teaching them are well-read and have a thorough knowledge of their subject. It is an affordable university as compared to others in the state of Georgia, and it is harder to get in for all students worldwide. It caters to students who are not able to attend classes by providing them with online lectures, which makes it a lot easier for the students to cope with their academics and deal with their personal lives at the same time.
CSU has an effective student exchange program. It has collaborated with Daejeon University in South Korea where students come for a semester and study from their Nursing and Business Colleges. Apart from this, students at CSU can also participate in study abroad programmes in China, Jamaica, and Costa Rica.
Overall, Clayton State University is a comparatively small university that makes the students much more connected to each other as they have formed a close-knit community, and this makes it easier for people to bond and for the teachers to focus on all students equally. Their methods of teaching include guiding the student in all aspects related to life in general and thus shaping them into the brilliant leaders of tomorrow.
